-LEENA-
“Come on, Lee. All that work made me hungry, time for some actual food before your stomach eats itself.”
I scoff, shaking my almost empty can and shrugging, just happy that Alec’s mood has turned and he’s not hypervigilant anymore. As much as I understand why he’s worried, I was hoping this festival would be a way to get him to relax and forget the insanity of our current situation, and it seems he’s finally unwound enough to enjoy himself.
“Fine, I guess food does sound pretty good. It’s already two and we didn't have lunch, I know you need food with your crazy metabolism.”
Alec takes my hand and guides me down the winding paths of the festival, the mountain foliage a beautiful backdrop to the lively Bavarian music that’s been present in the background since we got here. We finally make it to a long line and the aroma of foods I’ve never had before, my eyes peering at Alec through the corner of my eye to see his excited expression.
