Chapter 8: You Can’t Be Serious!

*Percival*

Reginald nodded his head, his expression twisting into an apologetic one. “Yes, I’m serious, Percy. It’s too dangerous for a human with knowledge like this to be let loose. Perhaps if she was vapid, but she is not. You and I both can tell she is incredibly intelligent.” My eyes fell upon Mika, who was now sniffling. My stomach grumbled, reminding me that I needed to feed.

So…tempting…

I found myself leaning down toward her neck, my eyes wide, as if I was a cat about to pounce on a mouse. My tongue drew delicately over the vein in her neck, and my fangs extended. I was losing this battle to my instincts, and the gorgeous quivering, whimpering mass before me was simply too delicious.

If Reginald wasn’t here, I would have bitten her.
