The Mystery

Archimedes sat at the house of the chief, discussing his conundrum with him. That is indeed an unfortunate event Archimedes, said the chief. Is there are any other way I can make my way to the Planet Andora? he asked the chief. I have to go and save my friend Plato and one of our Zeno, said Archimedes who was seemingly desperate to reach that planet. The chief fell into a deep thought, stroking his chin as Archimedes watched on patiently. The deputy sat in the entrance of the house, who was getting more and more deceptive by the hour. As the chief sat there in deep thought, Archimedes was getting a bit impatient. Anything at all? he asked the chief. The chief with a somber face said that there was nothing that he could think of yet. Let us come up something , the chief said in solace. You can stay here for the night , he said. A disappointed Archimedes accepted his situation and agreed to the chiefs proposal. He got up and walked past the deputy. "There is something that this man hides , that is for sure"

That day he walked around the village and saw that these were his people yet so different. They were much bigger than he was and yet they were not violent. He could see that these people were strong but pretty much kept to themselves. They were at peace it could be argued and there was not a single altercation between them. And it was a nice surprise to Archimedes, as he expected them to be of more violent nature and more rude. They swung axes only to chop down the trees, they swung swords only to keep them in shape. Their nature was not as rough as the rest of the Marakese. As Archimedes roamed around the alleys , he noticed that there was no extravagance , yet they all looked so rich to him. They were rich in culture, and majestic in the way they carried themselves. How could it be? he wondered. How could it be that they are so different from the rest of us.

As Archimedes crossed the Alley he encountered a small field where tow men where doing some combat training. It looked like that it was a very mild session and Archimedes approached them. He watched them in combat and two Strongmen became aware of the stranger watching them and increased the intensity of their combat. Their movements and the way they tried to strike each other was a bit comical to Archimedes. It was as though they were putting on a show. Archimedes was trying to hide his smile as the combat went on. The fighters kept increasing the intensity and with it the more comical it became. Archimedes who at first did not make anything , later on started to realize that something was wrong. Hello, he called out to the fighters. They at once stopped on their tracks and looked at Archimedes. Hello, they greeted back at him. Archimedes approached the two of them. Can I spar with one of you? he asked them. They were both startled and too dumbfounded to speak . They knew who he was, and the last thing they wanted was to fight this man standing before them. Archimedes pointed at one of the strongman fighters "I will fight you, he said". The other strongman was so relieved he dropped the sword and the shield near the foot of Archimedes and ran away. Archimedes picked up the sword and got into position. The other fighter nervously got into his position . Archimedes did not make a move and the strongmen too did not make a move, anticipating a ferocious attack from Archimedes. Neither of them moved for quite some time. Finally, the strongmen decided it was time to strike a blow and he did. Quite miraculously it was such a bad strike it completely missed Archimedes. Archimedes confirmed his doubts, put the sword down . He said " Thank you" to the strongmen and walked away. It was time for him to return back to the house of Akimo and find out what the real deal was!

That Evening.

Archimedes took a walk to Akimo's house. He was drinking something that produced a nice scent. He welcomed Archimedes as though he expected him to be back. Archimedes greeted him and took a seat next to him. That smells nice, he said to Akimo. Oh, thank you . It is a drink called Tea, we used to consume back at Earth. Would you like to try some? he asked Archimedes. Archimedes was always curious about Earth and had great admiration towards to it. The admiration was formed through mainly his friend Plato and the man that offered him the new drink , Akimo. Sure, he said. Akimo went in and started to prepare the drink , while Archimedes simply sat there. Observing and thinking nothing. And soon Akimo presented the drink to Archimedes. Who was a little hesitant to take the first sip. But as soon as he took the first sip, he dove right in. That was wonderful, he said to Japanese. I know, said Akimo and smiled. Archimedes sat there waiting to bring up the topic or rather wait for Akimo to ask him a question , but none of that happened. The wise man sat there stroking his chin and drinking his tea. Finally Archimedes spoke, "I need to ask you something" he said to him. What do you want to know? he asked him. There is something odd here in this village , said Archimedes .
