Ilke

Ilke was in a stupor during that particular point of time. He sat by the bedrock and had a liquid in his hand that caused him to be drunk. The moon shone on his face. He sat there wondering how the moon never forgot to shine where he was about to lay rest. Each day he slept at a new place , by a different bedrock. And each night he was drunk , he was l alone by himself. Not many knew his name. And no one really knew where he was or where he want. Ilke was a wanderer and the last of his clan. Ilke was a Korgin.

Korgins were wanderers who mainly existed in the planet of Andora. They had their own laws , their own people and initially they had their own land. And since they had very neglible sixe of population, they were not under any rule . Neither the Kingdom nor the forests and they were not required to be anyone's rule. They were known to enter the kingdom and the forests once in a while but largely went undetected. And as for their lands, it was closer to Algreid than anything else. And their land which was not vast , but not small either, was named Korgan after their most famous inhabitants. It was a very strange land as it had both rainforests and the desert in it. An area in the land received a lot of rainfall and a certain area did not receive any rainfall at all. It was said to be one of the greatest wonders of Andora. Ilke had grown up next to the desert part of the land . He and his community led a quite and peaceful life. When he was a child, his father would hunt and travel everywhere in the lands , while his mother and siblings simply stayed back home. Ilke and the kids in the community would play all the time, and often times earning the wrath of his mother. They would play in the desert most of the times and encounter desert snakes and vipers much like the ones found on earth. But in the case of Korgan , the vipers had 2 or 3 heads. And in the rarest of cases, they had even 4 heads and the kid who would find it put it in a large jar and kept it at home, as a pet!. You see, the vipers were the friends of Korgin's and they never harmed them. The children could easily play with them without any fear.

Ilke always felt a little left out, as his friends all had a four headed viper. And as much as Ilke had tried , he could never get his hands on one. While his friends played with the vipers and within themselves, Ilke would simply set out searching for his pet. He would spends hours looking for one and only return back home when it was about to gat dark. Atleast you have made it in time for Dinner, his mother would scold. And his sisters would tease him " And today too you have not found a pet" they would laugh at him. Ilke was a tough kid , albeit being a little sensitive, he never gave into his nerves and always kept calm. He would simply eat his dinner while his siters teased him. And he would have a smile on his face at the end. when his mother would scold them for teasing their younger brother. "Brat" they would say and walk away. Ilke would say goodbye to his mom and sit outside the door and watch the moon. "At least I have a friend who doesn't disappoint" he would say looking at the moon!.

Weeks had passed and at one such night, when he was confiding with his friend, the moon. He saw something on the ground move towards him. Ilke was a little surprised and was preparing to get excited. He saw a viper rush towards him. This was not the first time this has happened. Many a times this has happened. But it was always a 2 or 3 headed viper and never a 4 headed one. But this never took away the optimism from Ilke. He had always believed that a 4 headed viper would one day turn up to be his pet. The viper had almost reached his foot. He looked at in anticipation. And there it was a Four headed viper. It shone majestically under the moonlight. And Ilke danced in joy under the moonlight as well, with his new friend. Ilke immediately held it in his hand, went inside and put the viper into a giant jar. Now, I can be like from my friends , he said looking at the jar. And one knew that he would not sleep but be simply looking at the jar throughout the night.
