Neandrin

Neandrin stood by Chief Wilmo. There was to be an unexpected guest set to arrive soon at the gates. They were set to arrive in a large cavalry. Their objective of their visit was largely unknown to all. Kreed too was present at the gates, but he stood a long distance behind. They waited for an hour or so, and the guest had gone past his time of arrival by a long hour. Neandrin threw a slight tantrum. Chief Wilmo did not oblige to his behaviour. He stood patiently as he waited for his guest. The Chief has always been a diplomatic man . He was a brilliant strategist and most of all, importantly knew his strength and weaknesses.

"Those are footsteps I hear" said Chief Wilmo to Neandrin and then he turned back and said the same thing to Kreed. Kreed walked close to his chief. The guards on the front became very alert. A cavalry that was not hostile was a very rare sight at these parts. "The memory of the Northerners trampling towards them in droves loomed large in their memory". There was a sight of the cavalry now as they galloped towards the gate. There was a man leading from the front , he wore silver plated armor. His armor shone as he entered through the gates, temporarily blinding the sight of everyone in the vicinity. He got down from his horse and the rest of the cavalry remained seated on their horses. My name is Arakanese, he introduced himself. Arakenese the fourth, replied Wilmo. " We know who you are" he said to him. Arakenese nodded. "Shall we go to my quarters" asked Wilmo. Indeed, said Arakanese and gave instructions to his cavalry with his hand. Sir! they shouted and obeyed his instructions. Arakanese walked with the three men back to the quarters of Wilmo.

Arakanese looked at Neandrin " If it is not the infamous Neandrin" he said. Good to see you here, in these parts. " A place like this would require your protection" added Arakenese politely. They reached the quarters and sat themselves in the chambers of the royal house. Impressive , said Arakanese. Thank you, replied Wilmo. There was a moment of silence between them. Neandrin decided that it was best for him to wait outside and Kreed had thought it was best for him to seated with them inside. " A great house back in the forests" said Kreed. Arakenses acknowledged the intent of Kreed. Many leave and return, and a very few stay no matter the circumstances. "They fight till the end, the good and the bad". We are certainly not as brave as your house is, said Wilmo being the great diplomat as he was. The great many wars you have fought alongside the kingdom will never be forgotten. " You are one of the ten protectors of this planet ". You speak great many words of us, your praises are far too kind chief WIlmo, replied Arakanese. "That was a long time, nowadays we linger in the shadows" he said half jokingly. Arakanese leaned forward " The king is a good man I have heard" he said. A very good ma, replied Wilmo without a moments hesitation. That is good to hear, said Arakanese. And the mans son . " Philippe interrupted Kreed" Yes Philippe, he is an able counsel, so I have heard, said Arakanese. Very good men, the both of them, said Wilmo. Yes, we do not linger in the past , sad Arakense " It was General Marcus who banished us outside the kingdom, I hope you do remember that " We certainly do not harbor any hatred towards him nor his kin" we have put the past behind us, added Arakanese. Both Kreed and Wilmo nodded. We intend to meet the king soon after we leave from here, added Arakanese.

He was given some refreshments , he quickly gulped it down. Arakanese said " We were good friends, your house and ours, before the banishment and now " Hope we remain as such for a long time ago, he said and got up to leave. Forever, said chief Wilmo and got up to bid goodbye to Arakenese. Good to see you old friend Kreed, said Arakanese and left the chambers. The went outside to see the large cavalry in front of them. Arakense's horse waited for him in front of the gates. He went and got on top of it and rode it away to the gates of Algreid and away. " Do they mean harm "? asked Neandrin. Hopefully not, replied Wilmo and looked at Kreed. He too had a puzzled look on his face. The two men then went inside the chambers to discuss something. Neandrin stayed back guarding the chambers as he kept an eye on the cavalry of Araknese until they were far off from his sight!
