Irrigation

Archimedes later that at evening during dinner with his town folk, was going through the irrigation plans. How do we increase the output from the next harvest season? he asked them. We can create a small dam that can hold the water and then we release it in due time, said the engineer. "Precisely how they do it out there at Andora" commented Zeno. But do we have the resources, asked Archimedes as he looked for remedies. The harvest this season has not been up to the mark. And there were concerns prevailing all around. The Dam is a good idea, said the Engineer. But, he erred. The dam only comes into use when there is a lot of rainfall. And as per the data we have, the past decade has not produced that kind of rainfall. What else is the solution? asked Archimedes. We can dig borewells deep into the planets core and get the groundwater running into a pond. Then we can develop some sort of a system to transport the water into the dam, said the Engineer. That sounds expensive, said another Marakese. It is, said Archimedes. Let me worry about that, get to designing the project , he said to them. Aye, they replied. Archimdes walked on away from the discussion, with Zeno closely following him from behind. What are you going to do ? How are you going to arrange that kind of money? he asked him. Uncle, said Archimedes. Do you remember decades ago, we stood at a place not very distant from her. Zeno was confused. We looked on at the incoming cavalry, the Barbarians were dead set on killing us. And what did we do? he asked his uncle. It is more of what did you do? said Zeno. I ran straight into the battle ground without any fear. And I followed you closely behind afraid that you were going to die, replied Zeno. Of course, laughed Archimedes . There was something else that transpired that night, was it not? he asked Zeno. Yes, the starships, Seronn, said Zeno. He dragged me with a hook and I flew over these deserts

" That night, they dragged me over to the ship, I was slowly being pulled into the starship" To be honest I was a bit afraid. I saw their faces as I was being pulled. They had a look on their faces that showed no remorse. You could see it in their eyes, that there was no soul in it. I was afraid that they were the ones who were truly capable of killing me. The barbarians stood no chance of harming me, but these people could do me harm. I knew it the first time, they uttered their words at me. It was a strange tongue, what they spoke. It wreaked of evil. " Merein Denieth" That was what they uttered. It meant kill him. "None of that shall happen" said a voice who I presumed to be their leader. He spoke the common tongue. The others snarled and spoke in their devilish tongue, but ultimately they backed away. He will face the trial, like all others before him, said their leader. I was too shocked to speak. What trial, I said faintly. To see , if you are truly worthy, said the leader. Worthy of what? I asked him. He had a sinister laugh about him, "To see if you are worthy to live" he said. So they had their weapons pointed at me, as we traveled to Planet 111. There I was said to be put to test. If I pass I would live and if I did not, I would die. I knew it long before the test that it was just an illusion, the test. There was not going to be a winner. There was no life for anyone who took the test, only Death, said Archimedes as he looked at Zeno. But you are immortal, and you cannot be killed, said Zeno with a puzzled look on his face. No, you are wrong there. Even an immortal can be killed in this path, on their treacherous journey, replied Archimedes. And during this time was when you met Plato for the first time is it not? he asked Zeno.

Yes, indeed. It was a tumultuous two or three days. I rode at a frantic pace trying to catch up with their ship. But they proved too fast for me. I had an idea where they were headed, they followed the pattern of the constellation "Strogen". The constellation Strogen was a collection of stars that were assembled in such a way that it resembled an axe wielding warrior , aiming the axe at the ocean. This was said to be the main reason for the Strongman to settle in that location. The tip of the axe meeting the ocean is where they live. " So , I had guessed that " and there was no other place for them to go. They were the only civilization for miles in that region. " When I reached the Strongman, it had already been a couple of days since they had arrived. The only reason that they were not tied up on arrival was because of Sergey. He was already a Prisoner there and they had assumed these people were there to retrieve him. So the chief sat in conversation with Akimo to talk about the terms of release. " I have realized one thing Archi " The humans wherever they went , they were never treated as an imminent threat. Even I was given more stares when I entered , that I'm certain of. You can clearly see the innate goodness they are capable of, said Archimedes. "Being reminded of his good friend Plato".

So , by the time, I had reached it. It was clear to the humans that they our planet was not the right fit for them. The compound they came for, was certainly a hard one to procure, at least with the current team. So Akimo decided that it was best that they return back to earth with Sergey. " But that man, the Russian had other plans"
