Pain

Axel woke up to a screeching terror. His pain of losing his leg was too much for him to bare. Willy held his hand and aid it was "Okay". Myrkin was telling Gorgin to sedate him. He is in too much pain, put him back to sleep, said Myrkin. No we need him to be awake, said Gorgin. His new leg takes time to get used to. If we put him to sleep, his leg wont work fine, said Wily as he held his hands tightly. " It hurts Wily, he said. The pain is too too much to take, he said to her. It will be alright Axel, you will be fine, she said. Axel closed his eyes to fade the pain away.

Myrkin took Wily to the side. Will the people in the mountains accept him now? he asked her. WIly was confused. He is one of us, is he not? Is he not a Marakese ? she asked him back. He is a Marakese, there is no doubt about that, he replied. Then what is the problem, she asked. I'm afraid they will see him as a handicap, replied Myrkin. " What if they treat him like another, they blink their eyes every time they see him?. Wily really did not have an answer. She stood there in silence." All I know is that if we stay here any longer, he could lose the other leg too" she said. As she said " There were prowls and roars of the Polar's". Myrkin looked at his legs and seemed happy to have them where they were. "I will protect him, like I always have had brother" she said to him. Let us wait for the humans to arrive, hope they bring good news, said Myrkin. I saw their eyes brother, they bore the same pain . They bore the same pain of being exiled and being an outcast, said Wily. That does not mean anything, said Myrkin. If at all it shows a sign of weakness, he said to his sister. With pain comes strength and resilience. You become the kind of people that don't take no for an answer, said Wily. Not everyone , said Myrkin" It breaks most people" he said to her. That is what worries me, said Myrkin pointing at Axel. He comes out a broken man, said Myrkin. Axel is the strongest man I have ever known, said Wily. He will be out in the cold tomorrow if we needed him to." The prowls of the Polar's grew weaker" They were treading back. She tapped Myrkin on the back, Worry about the sun that will touch your skin' she said to him.

Durovin and Seronn.....

Were in unbearable pain submerged under gravels of sand and rock. Yondrin had reached their location. He had a machine that could scoop out the mud from the ground. So he did , scoop the sand and mud. For hours he did the work until the motionless bodies of Durovin and Seronn were seen. He scooped them up to and left the place. Durovin and Seronn had their eyes open all the while. From the moment they were picked up by the machine till they lay in the room where Ilke watched them. There were snakes all around the place. Durovin kept an eye on them, while Seronn was the least bothered. He looked at the ceiling. The snakes came forward and wrapped themselves all around them. Durovin yelled uncontrollably as the pain was too much for him to take. Seronn was still silent. The only that kept going through his mind was " Archimedes". The name kept ringing in his head. His head shall fall under the same moon that shines above us all, he uttered.

Archimedes

Archimedes tolled under the sun as the parts from Xenon had arrived. He and Zeno were hard at work, planning the layout and also assisting the Strongman samurai with the heavy lifting. Plato was on his way to planet Ceraes. Archimedes looked up at the sky every time there was some movement above it. "He will be safe" do not worry about him, said Zeno. I have seen their eyes, there is no part in the universe that can make them crumble, said Zeno. Archimedes got back to earth. The engineers were mapping the intricate details.
