A WAY WITH WORDS
TIARA
I almost choked on another sip of wine. So, Vincent Baker didn’t believe in love. Why does that not surprise me at all?
I fixed my gaze on him, as I had no other choice.
“Wow, and I believed I was the one having problems.” I finally said.
“Well, you kind of do. The bike accident, remember?”
As soon as he brought up that episode, I flushed. How much our lives had changed since then was amazing. But I would not let him get the upper hand.
“But you just stated that you desire a wife without having to deal with the challenging aspects of loving her. You need a freaking therapist, not an arranged marriage, to assist you with that”
“I don’t believe I require therapy. What I need is right here and right now,” He added, decreasing the already brief gap between us even more than he got closer. I was seriously off balance because of his presence.
