While the rest of Mama's group were in an open field, Shiny was bandaged and taking a small nap. One of the guys were checking on Bones to see if his hip and collarbone were properly taken care of the best they could. Pippin found her way to the clearing with her group of escapees. Lasso was forced to let someone clean and bandage the rope burn on his neck. He occasionally would try to swat them away but another person would just catch his hand again.
They didn't want to go anywhere just yet because of Shiny and a kid being injured so they waited for awhile. Then Pippin heard the soft drag of feet. "nother zom im guessin" a man stated while a got up and drew his knife. "Sounds like it's coming this way." Pippin muttered and looked in that direction. The guy started walking towards the noise but froze. He heard growling. Deep aggressive growling. That was not a zom that's for sure. "Aye- uh- that ain't right-" he quickly back up and the growling continued. It kept getting closer to the clearing and Pippin stood up with her piston and Jet with his rifle.
"Is that a bear?..." Lasso asked and one of the men shrugged. Then they saw the shadow of a big animal. They couldn't tell what it was. It looked like a dog but had spikes. The growling got louder and it stepped out of the shadows. It was a large Kangal that had metal plates with jagged screws on its back for armor. It also had a spiked helmet that strapped under its chin. This dog looked about 160 pounds of solid muscle and hatred. "Oh delightful- an armored dog-" one of the guys muttered in fear and pointed his gun at it. Then they heard a raspy voice.
"Easy Hercules easy..." they heard from the shadow of the trees. The dog stopped growling but still looked at the group with deadly intentions in his eyes. What stepped out of the wall of trees might as well have been a zombie. A girl with matted dark brown hair and sunken in pale grey eyes. She looked sickly thin and on the verge of collapsing. She only wore a hoodie and sweatpants that both looked way too big for her. "Sorry about him...he's a bit aggressive sometimes.." she apologized and Jet quickly rushed to her. The Kangal now known as Hercules started growling at him and Jet froze. "Lay" the girl told him and the dog quieted and laid down.
Jet quickly went to the girl. "Are you alright miss?!" He asked. She lazily smiled at him. "Just fine bud.." she shrugged. He was able to smell alcohol and possibly some kind of drug off her. "Holy shit you look terrible.." he was trying to think of a way to help. "I get that a lot.." she looked at him. "I have a little bit a food if you need" he offered but she shook his head. "Ah don't worry about it...me and Herc are out here hunting anyway..." she motion to a satchel she carried and he saw a rabbit's foot sticking out of it. "I was just checking to see if everything was ok here...I heard shouts so i decided to swing by and see what the commotion was..." she still had the lazily, half lidded eyed smile.
"Maybe you should sit down-" Pippin suggested. She had noticed the girl lightly swaying while she stood. It looked like her legs could barely support the little weight she had but she still stood. They had all lowered their guns seeing that she was not a threat. Now there more concerned of this skeletons girl more then anything. She stood with her head tilted to the side a little and saw someone around Jet. "Is that Bones?..." she asked and he looked at her with a confused look but slowly nodded. "I haven't seen you in years bub... you've gotten so big.." she dragged her feet to him. He looked at the small frail woman trying to remember when he had seen her. "I'm an old friend of your mama's...does Dallas ring a bell?..." she asked and he seemed to be thinking.
He tried to remember seeing her. Dallas did sound familiar but he couldn't pin where he had seen her or when the last time he did. "Oh don't hurt yourself...you were only about 6..." she chuckled. That explains why he doesn't remember. It was so long ago. "Where is your mama?.." she asked and Bones shrugged. "Looking for someone I think" he answered honestly. He wasn't really sure, she just ran off. He was sure she'd be back but didn't quite know when. "What uh..happened?-" he awkwardly asked while motioning to her a little with his unbroken arm. "Eh...I gave up kid..." she shrugged. She sat down on the ground and Hercules laid his head in her lap. He looked massive compared to the girl. She gently took of his helmet and set it aside.
"What's with the armored dog?-" Jet asked. "Well I don't want my baby to get infected...so when there's a zom issue that I can't handle he rams into them with his claws and spikes to cut them down..." she talked slow and the girl looked like she was higher then the clouds. "What was all the commotion anyway?..." she asked and Pippin ran her through the whole story.
Once it was done Dallas didn't seem all that bothered. Shockingly. "Huh...so that place is down?.." she asked and Pippin nodded. "Good...good..." she chuckled a little. "The fact that Tony thought he started an empire with that...fool..." she mumbled. Tiger was tied to a tree now. He was still unconscious so he didn't hear a single word that was said.
"I outta get going..." the girl put a cigarette that she had lit in the corner of her mouth and put Hercules's helmet back on him. He sprang to his feet and Dallas slowly got up. "Good for you guys that you took it down...." She congratulated. "I'll see you another time.." she started to shamble away but Bones gently grabbed her boney arm. "Stay with us for a little. Maybe wait for mom to come back." He offered. "She'd be delighted to see you." He told her and she thought about it. "It has been awhile since I've seen her..." she mumbled to herself. She blew some smoke then took the cigarette out of her mouth. "Oh alright...I'll wait for your mama.." she smiled again. "It's been a few months since she last visited me..." Dallas told Bones while taking the dog's helmet off again. "She visits me once a month normally..." Bones nodded.
Dallas slowly told Bones plenty of stories about her and his mom together. Little adventures, some of Mama's visits, etc. She also told him about where she lives, somewhat-. Her words were a little slurred together so he couldn't entirely understand most the stuff she said. He didn't ask questions he silently listened to her stories. Her voice was raspy from years of heavy smoking but she still tried her best to enunciate her words. She sometimes added words that didn't even make sense. He was clearly listening to a woman who's mind wasn't all there anymore but he still enjoyed the stories the best her could.
