After awhile of holding Cypher Shiny tried to talk to her but Lasso shook his head no. He was waiting to see if Cypher would blow up about something on her own. After awhile she eventually heard her mumble. "I hate this fucking town..." her face was hidden in his shoulder. Lasso could feel her shaking and her grip tighten on his shirt. He looked at Shiny and motioned him away, not wanting him to get hit. Shiny sighed and moved away and Lasso looked down at Cypher. He saw a little bit of blood on his shirt and sighed. Lasso then tilted her head up to look at him and saw her nose was bleeding. Her face was a little red and he put the back of his hand on her cheek. She felt hot so then he gently tugged on her trench coat. "Take this off" he told her but she refused. "No. I'm fine." She snapped and let go of him. They both got up. "Cypher your overheating, take off your coat and let's go inside." He tried to reason with her but she shook her head no and wiped blood away from her nose.
"You don't have to go back to your house just come with me to mine." He said but Cypher shook her head and sat back down. He tried to give her some water next. When she took his canteen and started to chug it he quickly took it away. "Drink slowly" he told her then handed it back. She drank slower but finished the whole canteen. "Come on" he gently took her arm but she pulled away. "I don't want to go back there..." she mumbled and held her head in her hands. He then tried to just hug her again but she pushed him away. Lasso finally backed away and Shiny took his turn. Shiny crouched in front of Cypher and gently tried to rub her head but he got his hand smacked away. "Ok no touch, got it" he mumbled then sat down in front of her.
Cypher didn't lift her head so he just started talking. Assuming she was listening. "Ok I know you're upset but you can just sit out here and overheat..your nose is already bleeding and your dehydrated kid.." he spoke softly and watched her wipe blood away with the back of her hand. "I want to go home..." she mumbled and Shiny held out his hand. "Come on then hun" he gently tapped her but she shook her head. "It's not here.." she sighed and Shiny looked at her confused. "This town is a goddamn nightmare..."she seemed to be talking to herself more then him but Shiny understood what she meant. "You mean Dead End huh.." he sighed when he saw her nod. "Cypher that place was hell.." he realized he had said the wrong thing when she suddenly kicked him square in the chest and got up. Lasso began to approach but Shiny held up his hand meaning don't.
"I don't care if you thought it was hell!! It was my fucking home!!" She screamed and chucked the canteen at Shiny who tuck and rolled out of the way then got to his feet. "Cypher so many people died that for what?" He sighed and dodged a rock she threw at him. "What made that feel like home to you? I spent a week there and I still can get the screams of pain from all those people out of my head." He was concerned that she was grinning now. Tears were still streaming down her cheeks and she wiped blood away from her nose again. "It was great" she shrugged. "Until your group had to take it all away!" She screamed at him and hurled another rock. The cowboy grabbed his lasso but Shiny motioned for him to stay put. "They would still be alive if you just left us alone!!" She kept screaming at him and eventually began to draw her gun. That's when Lasso stepped in.
He ran up behind her and grabbed her. One arm around around her shoulders while he grabbed her gun and tossed it away with his other hand. She immediately began to fight to get out of his grip but he wrestled her to the ground. Cypher was on her knees and hunched over with Lasso on her back holding her down. She kept trying to push off the ground to get him off but he didn't move. She eventually just began pound on the ground and screaming curses at them. Shiny was glad there was no children within earshot cause of some of the things she yelled had even shocked him. Shiny quickly rushed over and grabbed her hands to avoid her breaking her fingers.
Cypher was badly shaking and she finally gave up and laid her head on the ground. She sobbed and laid there restrained. Lasso was still holding her down while Shiny was holding both of her hands. She had screamed until her throat was sore so she eventually turned to mumbles. Neither of the guys dared say anything. They now knew that she blames them for the twin's deaths. When Lasso felt Cypher's breathing slow he gently tilted her head up. She had worn herself out yet again after another outburst. She was out cold now so he carefully picked her up and began to carry her back to the house she stayed at. Zombies now lined the fence, reaching through trying to get through but they couldn't go passed the fence that kept them out of town. They had been drawn by all the screams. Shiny followed Lasso back into the town.
When they got back to Cypher's home, Mama was on the couch cradling sleeping Charlie. Lasso walked in carrying sleeping Cypher. Mama saw them but didn't need and explanation of what happened. She saw Lasso's bruised cheek and Cypher's bruised knuckles and that was all she needed to see to know what had happened. Ret's body was gone, Dallas had looked over Charlie while X had helped Mama with the body. Lasso just silently walked passed and carried Cypher to her room. He laid her down on the bed then walked out again so she could sleep.
