In the following week, Elena got herself busy experimenting.
She locked herself indoors with the ingredients Jon brought for her. It was rare for anyone to have gimps of her.
This made Olen very anxious. Being a Fourteen-year-old, he didn't have the patience of an adult.
He tried asking Jon. But he said he didn't know what she was doing. But he advised not to disturb her.
Because of this, Olen couldn't put his mind to anything. Be it Swordsmanship or education he couldn't concentrate.
He remembered what Bianca said to him. At the time, he was too busy to think about anything. He just wanted to get out of her sight.
But now that he remembers it, 'from next week he was going to have a new teacher?' -How could he let that happen? He didn't want to study now.
No, he definitely can't let that happen.
He has to get the new teacher out of the house as soon as he comes. Yet, he had no clue as to who it might be.
Bianca refused to tell him. And Jon had no clue. So it was up to his guess.
And his guess was obviously Mr. Berdly.
Berdly is the teacher who taught his second elder brother. He is now in the capital academy, and before that, he was the teacher of his first brother. He joined the army.
He has been the house tutor for everyone in this house. Now that he thinks about it carefully, Oh, he also stays in the Alden manor as a part of the job.
So, Olen didn't have to think much. He just doesn't get it. Does his mother think he is dumb? Why act so mysterious?
Well, it doesn't matter. Now he just has to get him out of here.
Now the question is, how is he is gonna do it?
As obedient as Olen might be, being with Jon all the time has filled his head with all types of mischievous ideas.
Now which plan should be used for sure success?
.
Berdly also has Alden blood flowing through him. His athletic ability is below average and is a bit chubby. Also, his narrow eyes make him look like he is always up to something shady.
Though he has a distant relationship, due to his parents dying early in his childhood, the main family started taking care of him. Though he is already thirty, he is still unmarried.
He has a moderate education. But that is enough for him to be appointed as the teacher for the younger generation.
But Even if he is a teacher for the younger generation, he isn't a cultivator.
In this place where there is no method for meditation, the only choice is to contract a spirit beast and rely on its ability to rise through training. The number of cultivators is relatively low.
It has to be known that a high-level spirit beast is more pricy than an average man could afford.
And on the other side, low levels are generally useless.
As a result, most of the poor people can't afford to cultivate at all. Not to say the time one has to put in.
So, they don't have any spirit base at all.
It is as though people know regular exercise will keep them healthy, but very few people really do it regularly or have the time to devote to it.
Anyway, Berdly is an artist. He makes paintings and sometimes writes poems.
Through the support from the family, he was able to open a little shop just opposite the Alden manor.
He is quite adept in his art, as many people come, and buy his paintings to keep as decoration in their houses or read his poems while drinking tea.
But being an orphan has never had it easy.
Even though the main family provides for him, he still had to struggle through all the criticisms and scolding since he was little.
But he never condemns the Alden family for this. He learned to accept it.
He learned that not everyone would be kind to him.
He used to hate his rotten fate. But now, He has grown up from that stage. Now his wish is only to live free.
Maybe soon he'll be able to make enough money to get him a house and start a family with the income from the shop. That is what he dreams of.
He is just a small man with a small dream. Nothing more, nothing less.
But Let's put the sad stories aside.
Cause today is another day that fate isn't smiling at him. As he is soon going to be the victim of Olen's 'getting the teacher out of commission' plan.
So, one day early in the morning Mr. Berdly got a threat letter.
'Mr. Berdly, please quit teaching the children of Alden house and leave as soon as possible. Otherwise, your life would be in danger.' –was the content of the threat letter.
But seeing the handwriting so messy, he scoffed at it as some child's prank. He threw the letter in his drawer and went on with his day.
But today wasn't a lucky day for him. All kinds of accidents were happening to him.
When he went into the shower, the water suddenly stopped running in the morning.
Then, someone loaded chili pest in his sandwich instead of butter.
When he was walking, a bull suddenly released from who knows where and come running out of nowhere like it had gone crazy and started chasing after him.
And then, when he went into his store, he found a lot of mice crawling all around.
It was a disaster. But it was still in the margin he could endure already.
But the worst was after dinner.
Whatever he had eaten put his stomach in a bad mood. So desperately ran to his bathroom. And when he sat….
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh."
There was a bull crab in his toilet.
It can jump. And it has a nasty biting capability.
Because of desperation, Berdly didn't look where he was sitting.
And the crab being territorial, directly attacked the easiest part that was dangling down with full power.
And it definitely wasn't something that Mr. Berdly could take.
He let loose his scream that let every residence in the house know that something has happened.
They came running only to see the sorry state of Mr. Berdly with the still-hanging bull crab.
The scene they saw was both a sorry one and one too hilarious to look at.
On one side, Mr. Berdly wanted to remove the crab with force, on the other hand, he didn't have the guts to touch it due to the fear of what it will do to his sacred place.
So he could only beg it with teary eyes.
"Please let go, please... please let go, sir crab. Fuuuuuck… I'll give you all the cake you want. Just please let go of me." –he didn't even know it was a crab that liked cakes, but everyone does. So, he promised anyway.
As if a crab could understand what the human is offering. Today some shithead kid caught him while he was sleeping peacefully and put him in this nasty dump.
Even if it is just a crab, it has some class.
All the anger it had bottled up all this time…
It must make standing for itself. And for that, it must start with this piece of meat that dared to dangle on top of its head.
Mr. Berdly had no mental ability to know what others were thinking.
He only wanted to get this shitty crab off his manhood and find out who put this shitty crab there. He didn't even have the sense to sit in a place and kept hopping around while crying for mercy to the crab.
.
Well, every action comes with consequences.
The next morning Olen was summoned by Bianca.
"What do you think you are doing, young man?" –Bianca asked.
"Nothing, Mom." –Olen said without looking into Bianca's eyes.
"So, you didn't put the bull crab in Mr. Berdly's toilet? Didn't fill his store with rats? Didn't feed the bull some Peria's flower and let it loose behind him? And didn't leave a threat note to him?" –Bianca asked with a questioning gaze.
"…" –looking at the floor, Olen said nothing.
"Berdly didn't do anything to you, did he?" –she asked.
"No. But I don't want a teacher right now. I don't want to study." –Olen said.
"So? Why are you after him?" –Bianca asked.
Hearing this Olen's eyes went wide.
"Didn't you hire Mr. Berdly to teach me?" –Olen.
"And who said I did? I don't remember telling you I hired Berdly for you." –Bianca.
"hah." –Bianca sighed heavily.
'Did I spoil him too much? How does my sweet Olen turn out like this?' –Bianca thought.
"So, you assumed that I hired Berdly at your own convenience. And without telling me you went after an innocent man?" –Bianca.
"And even if I had hired him for the job, is it right to go after someone for something like that?"
"Did I raise you as a cowered and a bully?" –Bianca kept pressing.
Olen almost had tears in his eyes but said nothing.
"So, you need to be punished."
"But first, you have to go to him and apologize. All right?" –Bianca.
"Ok, Mom." –Olen shook his head.
"And as your punishment, you are grounded... for a month." –Bianca said.
Olen said nothing.
"You may leave." –Bianca.
Sending Olen away, Bianca kept thinking about how she should compensate Berdly.
But at that moment, an involuntary laughter welled up from inside her.
She had no control over it. How could she have unseen the event that occurred before her eyes?
A grown-ass man begging a dumb crab to let go of his willy…
Though she knew it wasn't right, she laughed out loud.
.
At the same time, in some other place…
"Hey, you heard, right? Father is sending people to find Elena." –said one man. He had a devil's smile that hung there permanently.
"Yes, I know. I'm sending my men to tail them. You don't need to worry about me not doing anything. You do your thing, and let me do mine. I don't wish to be in your contact too much." –said another in a monotonous voice.
"I don't wish to be chummy with you either. But times call for desperate measures. All right. I have already sent men to look for her. Let your men keep in contact with them." –the first man gave the second man a bead.
"Huh, how ironic. Never imagined I'd have worked together with you to get rid of our sister. Did you, Jack?" –said the Second one in the same monotonous tone.
"Don't think too much. If she was here, none of us would get what we want. You know that too, don't you Kavin?" –Jack said. There wasn't any emotion in his voice. To him, it's just another business.
"Yes, I know, I know…" –Kavin wanted to say something but couldn't. This succession process didn't sit well with him. But he has little say about the process.
He can only blame his father for favoring their little sister so much. He only wished that this little sister of his wouldn't think about revenge and stay out of the dirty place where love isn't pure and unconditional.
