No! No! That’s Not Possible!

She asked in disbelief, and he furrowed his brows at her.

"You slow-brained bird, it's green tea. Of course, it's best done the Chinese way." He clicked his tongue at her, and Everly furiously slapped her cheeks to calm herself down.

"Oh my god, I think I am about to lose my mind! Is he serious right now?" She grabbed her chest, and Valerio, who couldn't care less, walked out of the kitchen, but he ran into Delacy, who was rushing to give him the house phone.

The tea spilled on his clothing, and an enraged look immediately appeared on his face.

Delacy's body trembled in fear, having not intentionally bumped into him.

She immediately stepped back from him and stared at him.

She swallowed hard, confused about what to do.

With such rage in his eyes, she knew if she got too close to him, he could do anything to her.

She, of all people, knows how things like this annoy Valerio.

Everly, who could feel the huge tension in the atmosphere, glanced at Delacy, who was shaking, and shifted her gaze, only to see a deadly expression in Valerio's eyes.

Is he mad because of such a small mistake? She wondered in her mind, and Valerio immediately turned his head to glare at her.

She jolted back, having felt this chill run down her spine.

"I'm-i'm sorry, Mr. Avalanzo! I didn't mean to." Delacy quickly apologized, and Valerio returned his attention to her.

Without saying a word to her, he proceeded to leave the kitchen, but having something to tell him, Delacy moved to stand in front of him.

"My apology, Mr. Avalanzo, but there is an important call for you." She said to him and handed the house phone to him.

He reached it to his ears, and none other than his father's voice flew into his ear.

"Your sister has been found. I have texted the address to you," Lucius spoke and cut the call once he was done.

Valerio brought the phone away from his ear.

"Has Alex returned?" He inquired, and Delacy shook her head at him.

"No…he hasn't." She replied.

Valerio turned to Everly and let out a soft breath.

"Can you drive?" He asked.

"Yes... I can." Everly slowly nodded her head.

"Go grab the car key from my room. There is somewhere that I need you to take me to, fast." He said to her, and Everly dashed upstairs.

Valerio turned to Delacy and had her read out the address to him.

He made his way outside once Everly returned downstairs, and they strolled towards the SUV.

She unlocked the car and pulled the door open for him.

He stepped inside, and she sat down on the driver's seat.

She started the car engine and drove off towards the location he mentioned to her once the guards pulled the gate open.

A bit worried, Delacy stared into emptiness and let out a soft breath.

…..

It took them at least an hour before they arrived at the location.

Everly stopped the car and stepped down.

She pulled the door open for Valerio, and Valerio quickly hurried down.

"Do you see anyone anywhere?" He asked, and Everly looked around, only for her gaze to halt on a group of people who seemed to be surrounding someone on the safe side of the road.

"Yes, I do...." She replied, and Valerio had her take him there.

They arrived near the group of people, which consisted of Lucius, Logan, and his personal guard, Jonathan.

"You have arrived." On seeing him, Lucius, who was squatting down, stood up on his feet.

His eyes fell on Everly, and they narrowed vehemently.

"Where is my sister?" Valerio questioned, and Lucius proceeded to step out of the way.

The instant he did, a short, horrified gasp fled Everly's mouth.

Her heart rushed to her throat as she stared at Leia's unconscious body lying on the floor in Logan's arms.

"What's wrong?" Valerio asked, and Everly's trembling hand grabbed onto his.

"S-she is in a very bad condition." She stuttered.

Hearing the deep discomfort in her voice, Valerio knew instantly that something terrible must have happened to Leia.

"What's wrong with my sister?" He questioned.

A deep breath fled Lucius' nose, and he turned to look at Leia, whose clothing and face was covered in blood, including her completely burned arms.

"We found her in this condition. I had my men look everywhere for her, and they found her like this. I don't know what happened to her, but she looks as though she was burned by the sun, and her head is bleeding as well."

He explained.

Valerio staggered back, and a look of disbelief appeared on his face.

"No! No! That's not possible. She's immune-"

"Master!" Alex's voice resounded out of nowhere, and Valerio quickly turned his head.

It appeared that he had arrived back after Valerio had left and seemed to have found the way with the address that Delacy gave him.

"Is everything oka-" He immediately went silent, the moment his gaze fell on Leia, who was in Logan's arms.

"Princess…" He whispered, and without wasting any time, he rushed towards Logan.

He quickly took Leia from him and lifted her into his arms.

"Master, she needs immediate care." He said to Valerio, and Valerio nodded his head at him.

"Get her in the car." He ordered.

Alex quickly hurried into the back seat and sat down with Leia carefully held in his arms.

Valerio took his seat as well, and Everly shut the car door.

She started the engine, and with a quick reverse, she proceeded to drive home.

"Should I drive to the hospital or—"

"Just drive home." Valerio cut her off.
