"This information could change everything, I can't walk away now. You'll have to forgive me for my rudeness." Zi Yin sat back down and went back to reading, ignoring General Moa entirely.

General Mao laughed and stepped forward, his eyes blazing. "Do not tread on treacherous ground, Zi Yin. Some paths lead only to ruin," General Mao retorted, the weight of unspoken threats lingered in the air, each word a dagger aimed at Zi Yin's resolve.

"General Mao, my loyalty lies with Zhan Sheng and the welfare of our soldiers. These discrepancies cannot be ignored, for the wolves of rebellion grow restless in the face of starvation."

"Starvation? What do you mean?" General Mao snapped. "What lies are you spouting now?"
