“Don’t ever imply that I’m running away from you because I wanted to be with him.”
Jeremy’s cheek turned red as he looks at me. When he brings his eyes back up to me, I noticed him seeing something on my arm that made him do a double take.
When I look at my hand, I noticed that my sleeve has hiked up from the sudden movement I made, making my scars visible.
He immediately grab it and looked closely. “Why…” His only words.
Before he could stare longer, I took my arm away and cover my scars. “Please… if you stay I may say something that might hurt the two of us. Just please give me time… I’m not ready to see you or talk to you just yet.”
With that, I left.
When I walk back to the cabin, I stayed by the door unmoving as I try to calm myself down and wipe the tears that stream out of my eyes.
As my hand reaches for the doorknob, I suddenly heard their voices talking, making me stop moving.
“Did you have fun today?” Drayce asks.
