“Hmm… somehow I’m not even surprised,” Thalia said as we sit by the park while Mara is playing with Mimi just a few meters from us. 


“Yeah, I mean after all, you were hesitant to be with him and I think it was my fault for making you jump into something you didn’t want to. I’m sorry.” 


“No, it’s okay. I mean, I did try. I did want to see how things will be for us it is just that my feelings for Drayce aren’t going away as fast as I hoped and I think I wasn’t even getting any better at it.” 


“I understand. Is that the only reason though?” 


“Honestly…” Sighing, I look down at the water bottle I am holding as I lean forward on the table. “ It isn’t. When I went with him to Seattle, I just saw how his life was and how different we are from each other. He liked the things I am highly uncomfortable with. I feel like he’s too rich and I think if other people hear me, they’d think I’m throwing away a great future.” 


“Oh yeah. Why are you uncomfortable with it anyhow?”
