Chapter 68 - The Dead End

“Are you sure about this?” Jeremy said, anger still lingering in his voice.

“Yes…” I said without hesitation.

He turns his back towards me before responding. “I will no longer try if you are certain about your choice.”

I stare at the back of his head, hoping to see his face one last time, but immediately look down when he remains looking away. “I don’t expect you to.”

He looks down and lets his head hang.

I remove the blue diamond from my finger and place it carefully on the bed before leaving the house.

I drive for what seems like hours on end.

Somehow, I stopped at this brewery and decided to drink. After ordering a glass of beer, I began to think about the things that has happened before this.

Weeks ago…

My insistence on not eating and preferring to sleep instead caused problems with my health.

I have been in and out of consciousness because I lack the energy to stay awake.
