Stream.

After all considerations, Liam decided to go with the name "spiritual sense". It was a well-known name in the cultivation series, making it nothing unique or surprising. But Liam chose "Spiritual sense" due to its similarities with his said ability.

An ability that can visualize the ethereal form of a being, specifically for creatures of the animal kingdom based on trial and error.

Yawning, Liam lay on the bare ground using the aerial root as his pillow. "I'll have to train more tomorrow… power!"

Muttering to himself, Liam dozed off, transporting himself into his dream world to experience all his deepest desires.

As the sun rose from its sleep the sound of birds chirping became louder, disrupting the male's deep sleep.

The area he set his camp was filled with remnants of well-grilled flesh, arousing the interest of starving creatures.

Liam had found a charm-like substance from the space ring which could block off creatures' senses, protecting the region he camped in. Unknown to him, the charm-like quantity had a lifespan.

"Umu."

He muttered in his sleep as he rolled on the ground searching for a more comfortable position.

Twig

Liam's spiritual sense activated instinctively, causing him to rise in fright, creating a safe distance from whatever created the sound.

Though Liam was up, the sleep drunkenness still had an effect as he staggered backward, his sight doubled.

"Fuck!" Liam said as he tried to clear his head off the foggy feeling. Concentrating on the direction of the sound, Liam could picture a dwindling energy signature, causing him to sigh in relief.

It was a frightening situation for Liam. 'I'll need to be careful.'

Though the creature's energy seemed to be dropping with every second, Liam knew better than to judge things by their appearance. He would rather be overcautious than be careless and die a fool's death.

Tiptoeing to the location, Liam used his spiritual sense to scan again, making sure to affirm the fact of the creature's energy signature dwindling. 'I was right!'

Finally having all the facts to support the safety of his actions, Liam cleared the plant that obstructed his view, sighting an egg that he considered strange.

The egg looked bland and edible, causing Liam to salivate at the thought of frying it. 'No! I have things to do… I'll save it for later.'

Choosing to leave it for later, Liam picked up the egg, scanning it for clarification. Unlike the first time, no energy signature could be felt.

Liam had no choice but to turn back simultaneously, placing the egg into his space ring. "Seems I'll have to train harder."

Muttering to himself, Liam headed out, continuing on his path. As before he trained both his body and Spiritual sense, increasing the range at which he could sense a creature's energy.

Cling

Clinging to a bushpig's back, Liam stabbed his sword into its neck, relentlessly,  causing it to shriek in pain, desperately struggling to escape the human's grip.

But who was Liam?! A Savage human who relished the flesh of monsters! He would do anything to get such quality flesh in his stomach.

Due to his training, the monster was not hard to conquer. Sometimes Liam wondered if it was the region or if he had grown stronger. Almost all creatures he came by were within his strength range, except for the wolf whose motives were unknown.

Clearing all thoughts from his mind, he went to pick leaves to prepare a sumptuous meal for himself.

Time flew by as Liam drew closer to the crossroad where he'll have to finalize his main path. Though Liam had already decided on using the west route, he still had a chance to divert.

"Ha, what a tiring but fun journey… if not for the terrain and the possibility of there being stronger creatures, I would have loved to stay here."

Muttering to himself, Liam moved in the direction of a visible stream, activating his ability to avoid any unnecessary collision.

His spiritual sense had increased along the way, allowing him to scan a maximum of approximately 40 meters. Liam noticed that activating his spiritual sense for a long period had negative effects on his body.

So to avoid unnecessary issues, Liam made sure to put it off whenever he felt the backlash kicking in.

Though the range might seem wide, do not forget, Liam could only sense creatures based on their energy emissions. So if a creature has the least energy emissions or can hide its energy emissions, Liam's ability becomes void.

Observing the stream before him which had the sky color, Liam could not help but be paralyzed by the beauty of the scene before him.

The body of water moved freely, undisturbed by its surroundings. It gave Liam a tranquil feeling.

Moving to the stream, Liam crouched as he used his arms to scoop a quantity of the sky-colored water, taking it straight for his lips. The moment his lips made contact, he gulped down everything in one go, his eyes widening in awe.

"Wow!" Liam said in an outburst, bending to drink from the stream directly. The water looked shallow to Liam but he decided to drink before diving in.

"How can water taste so good?!" Liam said in exasperation as he gulped down a large quantity of water.

Liam did not stop for minutes as he took in more quantity of water. The more he drank, the more his thirst intensified, causing his sixth sense to tingle.

'Why can't I seem to stop?!' Liam thought in fright, struggling to break free from the circle of drinking. Though it was easier said than done as he fought the chains holding him down with all his might.

Not able to escape the cycle, Liam felt something in his body resonate with the stream as he got dragged in by an unknown force.

'No! I wasn't careful enough!' he thought in anxiety, still working on escaping the force that drew him into the stream.

"N…n…ooo!" His muffled voice echoed as he got swallowed by the stream. Liam could only see the blurred version of the sun as the body of water drowned his consciousness.

[A few minutes before]

Observing the jubilant Liam was a wolf. It had an annoyed expression as he watched the kid dance in the joy of his current achievements.

"He's getting stronger every day… I'll have to find a way to end him before my princess returns," he muttered to himself, a demonic smile forming on his countenance.

He was currently deciding on a method to end Liam's life without getting on his master's blacklist. So he just patiently watched.

Liam moved to the stream in joy, causing the wolf's veins to twitch in annoyance. "He wants to take a bath now?!"

He knew Liam had a reserve of water, so it could only mean a few things if he headed for a stream. Either for sightseeing or to bathe.

And the human hasn't taken a bath ever since he started his journey, allowing him to choose the most likely cause.

As Liam crouched down to drink the water, he watched only rolling his eyes in annoyance having thoughts of the most painful way to end the human. "I'll just…"

He couldn't complete his sentence as he watched Liam gulp down the water at a level he considered strange. Though this region of the forest was not filled with strong creatures, it still had a lot of amazing things that can both end or promote a man's life.

'No! If it's something that will help him grow then defeating him at my current strength would be difficult.'

Gritting his teeth, he moved to Liam, hoping to break his connection with the stream and also end his life in the best way possible to avoid future problems.

Despite his speed, he couldn't meet Liam, watching in horror as Liam got drawn in by the stream.

"No!!!"
