Little flower

"You can do it Mari, just focus!" Halley voices out. Hope and pride evident in her voice.

They both stood over a table, a crisp, rusty, ugly rose lying on it. Cheryl sat at a corner not to far watching while she caresses her bump. They were present in one of their gardens, this one having a transparent casing to it. It was so beautiful with flowers and herbs all around, a glass center table that reached the waist of an average human.

Marilyn sat on a high stool, her eyes closed with hands over the dead flower. "animare et renasci ses pulchrame" she murmured.

Nothing changed.

"animare et renasci ses pulchrame" a little louder.

A frown appears on her forehead with knotted brows. Her eyes tightening with a scrunching lips. Heavy wind blew around them making Halley and Cheryl turn alert. Halley's eyes meets Cheryl's before it stayed on her daughter.

" animare et renasci ses pulchrame!" Marilyn barks out and suddenly everything came to cease. Her eyes opening a little as she peeps at the flower.

The shimmering and sparkly sound brought the eyes of both mothers to the flower. From its tip it began to glisten in a lovely green color. Anticipation clear in the eyes of the little one as the flower kept changing its form and then.....

"Momma, look I did it!"

The red rose laid beautifully on the table. Looking so new and fresh like it was just picked.

Halley forces a sweet smile. Her eyes holding uncertainty. "Yes baby, you did. I'm proud of you." She says patting her head.

Marilyn smiles at her mother. She picks the rose and rushes to her aunt. "Aunt, I'm going to teach my little sister how to make roses so she'll look like a princess."

Cheryl offers a gentle smile. "Of course Mari. You both would be the greatest witch, don't you agree?"

"Of course aunty. I'll teach her to be strong and keep her away from the darkness."

"Yes little flower."

"Mari, could you get mama a cauldron? You should check in the basement. Momma is going to teach you a trick." Halley said.

With a cheeky smile and more enthusiasm to learn magick from her mom, she replies, "of course momma, I'll be back." She runs off immediately.

"Hal?" Cheryl's jittery voice pulls the attention of the woman.

Halley faces Cheryl and frowns seeing the fear in her eyes. Her eyes turns to what Cheryl held up in her hands and her eyes pop out.

It couldn't be!
