Llyas

"Llyas would never have wanted you to tap into it, why?" Mason's voice held a lot of emotions; anger, disappointment but most of all care.

Halley had just walked into the house after dealing with the dark witches. Her face held shock as she wasn't expecting he'd be the first person she'd crash into after that mess.

Realizing he was waiting for an answer, she sighs. "It was either I take it or it went to Mari and you know it." Her voice calm unlike how she'd spoken with the dark witches.

"Mari was just too little to have in her the memories of a 659 year old demon with that much essence, it will kill her or worse darken her soul and as long as I'm alive I don't want that for her." A sad smile appears on her face. "Llyas wouldn't also want that for our daughter."

"And moving to the demon world? Killing that alpha's only family left? Leading the dark witches the first time? Killing countless witches over the years and innocents?" Now he wasn't hiding the anger.

"How do you explain that?" His voice calm.

"Mason, we both know what dark magick is in itself and what it means to having a demon's essence. I had no control over it," she steps forward, "but now I do and I still need your help. Please brother or don't I deserve a second chance?"

Mason locks eyes with her, "There will always be a balance in nature, for you its karma! If I forgive you or not doesn't matter its if the souls of the people you killed see your repentance. For your sake, I hope its not too late." And with that, he walks off.

Halley sighs looking downcast. She'd done the worst things when controlled by the dark magick, if she's able to control it until its being passed to Marilyn and with all the teachings, she hoped Marilyn would come out well.

"Hey" she looks up to the gentle voice of cheryl who steadily walks up to her.

"Need a hug?" Cheryl opens her arms.

"Yeah." And she moves to her and hugs her tight.

Llyas.

No matter how much she tried to hold herself up for her daughter, she just couldn't. He was her everything, she loved him just too much it affected her in the worst ways.

Maybe if she hadn't convinced him to go back to the legion for a while and see why they needed him urgently but what did she get for that? A bloodied Llyas begging her to take away his essence so it didn't affect their daughter. He was going to die and she couldn't save him.

His last words were how they'd use his heart to create a spell. The weakening spell, a powerful spell that could make any creatures of the dark vulnerable. Its effect equivalent to what power the creature yielded. Due to it created from the heart of a demon only people who yielded darkness could perform the spell.

The demons were responsible for the death of her husband and she wanted to know why. She wanted to know why Lothaire would permit using the heart of his eldest son to create a spell! She wanted all of them to pay and they were going to, if not now then later.

She tightens the hug. She knew what so many didn't and she wanted it that way.
