Little secret

"Marilyn, the sun's already setting, I need you to stay in the house, do not, under any circumstances step out of the house, ok?" Halley was scrouched talking to her daughter.

But the little girl had something else on her mind. Lola, her little pet which she'd grown so fond of, her companion, her own best friend. She'd promised she'll come back later for her dinner, maybe she should just go n.....

"Marilyn? Stop thinking of whatever mischievous thing your little mind has conjured. Stay in the house, if you need anything, meet your aunty Cheryl." Her brows raised in question at the little girl.

"Mommy, are you going somewhere?"

"Yes baby, mommy is on a mission to fix broken things, i want you to grow in a somewhat peaceful world, without any worries about who's going to come for you. Momma is gonna make all her mistakes right, so stay with aunt Cheryl?"

"But momma, I thought you said there always should be a balance between the good and evil," the little girl leans closer to her mother. "Is there an imbalance that you have to rectify, momma?"

"Yes baby, so that it doesn't disturb you one day, so you'll be good with your aunt?"

"But you said to not stress aunty too much, what if..."

"Just be conscious of your aunt's state, I'm sure no matter what she'll try provide what you need but take care of her for me until I'm back."

"Momma, Uncle had come to see me while playing."

"Did he say anything?" Halley had a frown on her face.

"Its our little secret." The girl whispers to her mom.

"And I get that you won't tell?" Halley had a small smile on her face with a curious gaze but the little girl was too smart to bait, she shook her head in denial.

Halley sighs defeatedly, "ok then, what are you going to do now?"

Marilyn looked so cute lifting her head up in thought. "Hmm..... I'll go practice the spells you've taught me so that I can defend aunt from anyone who'll come for us."

"Thats my baby." She pecks marilyn on the head. "Go on now, I'll see your aunt before leaving."
