Threat

We walk onto the campus busy as every day for thousands of students going to different places during different things. Honestly, I find it quite repetitive. But it's mandatory throughout the empire, as we have the train more generations to fight in the empires wars.

As me, John and Reyes are walking to orientation three particularly snotty nobles, walk up to us

I stand in front of Reyes and ask, who are you?

The slightly taller, noble standing in the middle scarfs

Do you really not know who I am? He looks at me and looks at Reyes

And if I don't know who you are

Well, then allow me to introduce myself I am James Victorian

James victorian his father is a particularly wealthy senator who holds sway over a quarter of the sector, making him one of the most important men around

OK my name is Xavier Dragos and why should I care? I look down on him being significantly taller than he is

I look at his uniform and see two stars on his chest and I narrow my eyes a little bit. Aren't you a second year don't you have classes to go to

Oh, please people of my talents and right now I barely even need to go to those anymore. After all, we learn most of the stuff when we were five. But enough about me he says, in a snarky town me, and you have a problem, you see, he opens his eyes wide. There are no null bloods allowed on this campus.

Oh yeah and you made up that rule

Oh, would you have it it was me

I chuckled a little bit and look him in the eyes and how exactly are you going to stop me?

His to Luckys laugh as if it was the funniest thing they've ever heard

James looks back at them telling them to shut up with but a glance. And looks back at me with a serious glint in his eyes I'll give you three days to get your affairs in order and leave the campus.

John and if we refuse

James laughs Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

Come on, let's go out John said with annoyance in his voice

I stared back at James, a mix of amusement and defiance in my gaze. "Three days, huh?" I replied with a sardonic grin. "Well, that's certainly generous of you."

He raised an eyebrow, clearly not expecting my response. "You seem awfully confident for someone who's facing expulsion."

I leaned in slightly, my tone dripping with sarcasm. "Oh, don't you worry about me, James. I've dealt with worse than a self-righteous second-year with a superiority complex."

James's jaw tightened, and his eyes flashed with a hint of annoyance. "You won't find any allies here, Xavier. The Null Bloods are a blight on this campus, and I won't rest until you're gone."

I chuckled again, thoroughly unfazed by his threats. "You know, James, I've heard all these grand speeches before. 'Null Bloods are dangerous,' 'They don't belong here.' It's all the same old song and dance. But guess what? I'm not going anywhere just because you say so."

As James clenched his fists, clearly struggling to maintain his composure, I glanced around at the surrounding students who had gathered to watch the exchange. "You see, James, your rule isn't the only one that matters. There's something called justice, and I'm not about to let you trample all over it."

The tension in the air was palpable, and I could see his resolve waver slightly. But he quickly masked it with a cold smile. "Fine, Xavier. If you want to play the hero, go ahead. But mark my words, I won't make this easy for you."

With that, he turned on his heel and walked away, his loyal lackeys trailing behind him. Lucky shot me a smug grin before following, clearly reveling in their perceived victory.

I stood there, watching them leave, my mind already spinning with plans. This wasn't just about me anymore; it was about standing up for what was right and proving that prejudice wouldn't go unchecked.

As the campus bustled around me, I knew that the next three days would be a battle of wits, determination, and maybe even a bit of luck. But one thing was certain: I wasn't backing down, and James was about to learn that challenging a Null Blood was a lot more complicated than he'd bargained for.
