Dry Plains - Golem

A couple of hours later, Osirus returned from his hunt with a smile hidden under his helmet, he had finished designing his new Skill, after seeing that {Quick Slice} got better the stronger he got, he decided to try and create the new Skill in a similar way.

However his smile disappeared as he looked at his temporary camp that now stood in ruins, his campfire was destroyed, and his bushcraft tent made of sticks and leaves had collapsed, however the most painful thing was his pile of lizard skins, or the lack of.

While he was out hunting, someone had actually stolen his spoils, furthermore they had even destroyed his camp, but that was what confused him.

If it was just an opportunistic thief, why spend valuable time making a commotion and destroying his camp, the only reason someone would do that is if they had something personally against him, and stealing the lizard skins wasn't their main reason.

It didn't take a genius to figure out that it was most likely the Scarred Man whose brother he had killed, he was probably trying to get into his head before he eventually killed him.

However with Osirus's new and improved mental stability, it wouldn't be that easy, however he knew the Scarred Man was probably watching so he decided to at least pretend he was mad.

"For f**ck sake! What dickhead stole my things!", Osirus repeatedly kicked his campfire and the log he had used as a chair, causing it to shatter from the pure amount of force.

From a distance the Scarred Man watched with a smile, seeing that it was working, he decided to carry on before killing this son of a bitch.

After eventually 'calming down', he collapsed against a tree, 'exhausted', catching his breath, while in the meantime, he decided it was time to create his new Skill, {Guardian Golem}.

{Guardian Golem: At the cost of 50% of the Users total Mana, the User can summon a tough and durable 1m tall Golem with high defensive abilities and decent attacking power. Maximum Amount - 2.

Cost : 135SP}

After he had gained more SP from his recent hunting trip, he finally had enough for {Guardian Golem}, thus, without hesitation, he created it, instantly his SP dropped to 3 while there was a new addition to his Active Skills section.

{Active Skills: {Guardian Golem Lv.1 (0/10 Proficiency) - Beginner}, {Quick Slice Lv.5 (12/50 Proficiency) - Beginner}}

He decided not to use it straight away as it would only reveal his abilities to his enemy, instead he head back out into the Dry Plains, loudly stating, "Im going to have to hunt more of stupid Stone Lizards noe that some petty thief stole them.".

It wasn't until he was deep into the plains where he was sure that the Scarred Man was no longer watching him that tried out his new Skill, after making sure there were no dangers nearby.

'{Guardian Golem}'

Osirus felt his Mana quickly flow out of him, his Mana Core losing its lustre and solidarity, however in exchange the Mana continuously condensed, quickly forming into a chunky grey being.

After 20 seconds it was completely formed, Osirus had designed the Golem to be on the fatter side, allowing its defensive capabilities to truly shine, it was made of a smooth, soft, grey material that was similar to a marshmallow, making it extremely good at absorbing impacts.

It had thick arms that could act as clubs as well as shield and strong legs that allowed it to stay stable when taking attacks. It also had a round head that only had two small holes that resembled eyes but were just bottomless holes.

Looking at the objectively cute Golem, he decided to name it Guardy, which Osirus thought was fitting name, there was also another advantage of {Guardian Golem}, once a Golem was created, it wouldn't take any extra Mana for it to function, however if it was damaged, he could use some Mana to repair it.

After draining 50% of his Mana, it began to slowly recuperate on itself, and he could also actively absorb it which would improve the speed dramatically, which he quickly did. Sitting down he began to rapidly absorb the Mana in the surroundings before storing it in his Mana Core, slowly but surely it regained its solidarity.

30 minutes later.

As he didn't have much Mana to begin with it didn't take long for it to be completely restored, after reaching almost 100% he activated {Guardian Golem} once again.

Soon half his Mana disappeared and another Golem the exact same as Guardy appeared, he decided to name this one Boulder, although he wasn't sure if the same Golems would be summoned if they were destroyed he still decided to name them.

Now with Guardy and Boulder by his side, he wanted to test out their defensive capabilities as well as their strength. He was able to control them using his thoughts as well as give out relatively basic commands such as follow me or attack him.

Since they were both the exact same, he only got Guardy to stand in front of him, instructing it to defend his strike, it sank its weight down and entered a stable stance, waiting for the attack.

Starting with about half his maximum strength, he directly punched his stomach, as expected his hand only sank it slightly before all the force was dissipated with Guardy not moving an inch.

Seeing as half his strength did nothing, he decided to go all out with this next strike, entering a 50/50 combat stance, he pulled his right hand back before striking with his full force.

A muffled bang sounded as his first connected with the soft body of Guardy, it sank in more than before, his knuckles disappearing into its comfy body, however that was it, his hand didn't make it any further before the force had spread throughout its entire body and disappeared.

Guardy had barely moved back a centimetre when facing his full power, and that was only because of the soft ground they stood on, moving his hand back, its body slowly returned to normal, as if he had never hit it.

Seeing its defensive capabilities had surpassed his expectations, he decided to take it a step further as he unsheathed the Dark Sword, without using {Quick Slice}, he struck with his full force, the sword whizzed through the air before colliding with Guardy, it entered further than anything had before, the blade completely disappearing.

As soon as it contacted, Osirus felt the force of the strike rapidly diminish before becoming nothing by the time the blade had disappeared, thus without being able to push it further, he was forced to remove the blade.

As the deformed body returned to normal, Osirus was surprised to only see an extremely faint and thin white line that would've been impossible to see if he hadn't been looking for it to be left from where he had struck.

Seeing he still wasn't able to find its limit, he only had one last attack.

'{Quick Slice}'

A light green hue covered the Dark Sword as it was practically a blur when it sliced into Guardy, it sank 1/3 of the way into its body before coming to an eventual stop.

Removing the blade it took much longer for its deformed body to return to normal, however when it did, Osirus was once again shocked to see as white cut along its stomach, it was probably less than a centimetre deep and it barely took any Mana at all to repair it.

With the defensive capabilities tested, he then switched onto his offensive abilities, Osirus ultimately decided not to use himself and instead got Guardy to punch Boulder with its full strength.

Although its moves were rather slow and clanky, overall the power of the strike was equal to Osirus's own full strength punch.

Since killing Stone Lizards and even Metal Lizards would give him little SP, he decided to instead strengthen the Golems, the only way to do that was to continuously summon them.

Thus, he first got rid of Boulder causing it to disintegrate into grey particles, he then activated the Skill again, causing another Golem that looked identical to Boulder to be created.

He continuously disintegrated and summoned Boulder, resting to recover Mana between each one, he also kept using {Quick Slice} during this time since it used stamina rather than Mana.

5 hours later.

During this time a couple of lizards had attacked him but they were easily killed he also learnt that creatures killed by the Golems counted as his kills, meaning he would get all the SP from them, furthermore during these 5 hours of continuous training, the results were quite fruitful.

{Guardian Golem Lv.2 (1/20 Proficiency) - Beginner}

{Guardian Golem: At the cost of 47.5% of the Users total Mana, the User can summon a tough and durable 1.2m tall Golem with high defensive abilities and decent attacking power. Maximum Amount - 2.}

{Quick Slice Lv.6 (3/60 Proficiency) - Beginner}

{Quick Slice - When activated, for a single bladed attack, the wind resistance is 75% less than normal at the cost of 8% of the Users total stamina}

The Golems had increased in size slightly along with their defensive and offensive abilities increasing slightly while the price dropped, {Quick Slice} had become faster and the cost lower, it was an all round improvement to his combat prowess.

Although he wasn't completely confident, he didn't think he wouldn't be unable to protect himself against the Scarred Man, considering his was strength was probably at the 7th Step of Body Refinement which was equal to Lv.7 of {Body Cultivation}, which wasn't too much of a difference in strength, especially at their current stage.

His two Golems both had defensive capabilities rivalling the sturdiest 7th or even weaker 8th Step Body Refiners while their strength was high 5th, low 6th Step. Furthermore with {Quick Slice} his attack speed rivalled strong 6th Steps, so he had every right to be confident in his own ability.

With everything sorted, he returned back to his destroyed campsite.
