I WAS AIMING FOR HIS HEAD

I overheard Hector chuckling, prompting me to glance up at him. His expression still appeared mocking, causing my forehead to furrow.

"Why?" I inquired.

"I just find it absurd. No matter what he plans to do, he will still die," he casually remarked, shrugging.

I couldn't shake off the nervous feeling, especially since his friends were still laughing.

"Take it easy, Apollo. He's still your brother," someone interjected.

We all turned to the speaker, and my eyes widened when I saw Vera in her usual outfit, her long hair braided, exuding a cool, action-star vibe. Why was she here?

"You know me, Ver. I don't care who it is; as long as they can harm my family, I won't go easy on them," Hector declared abruptly.

Did they know each other?

As she approached us, I noticed her glance at my hand holding Hector, so I instinctively withdrew it. She grinned and raised an eyebrow at me.
