HEADSHOT

That was the last thing I uttered before the chopper lifted off once more. I gazed at it, absorbing the sight, until a series of gunshots and a few shouts pierced the air.

"Apollo!" Ares' voice rang out, chanting Hector's name. I couldn't fathom where it came from.

I turned to Hector. Sir Anton vanished abruptly as Vera sprinted towards the haystack, cocking her gun. My heart pounded, and I glanced at Hector, who was fixated on something. He appeared to be searching for the source of Ares' voice.

"W-what should I do?" I trembled, questioning him, but I promptly cleared my throat. He didn't turn to face me.

"Stay close to me, Solei. If you can't handle the rifle, let me protect you. Let's go!" He said swiftly, taking my hand, snapping me to attention.

We sprinted towards the hayloft, continuously running, accompanied by a few men carrying guns. They weren't the ones I had seen with Sir Anton before; they were probably the Black Lotus.
