Qin Xuan smiled and pulled Long Tian into the station. She led the way and Long Tian quietly followed her, but as he did so, he felt something big was about to happen.
He followed quietly behind Qin Xuan and didn't turn to leave or run since the feeling wasn't dangerous or life threatening.
Soon, they arrived within the training room of the teleport station. It's a large room with various state of the art training equipment, from a gravity room to a virtual training machine.
Usually soldiers would come and train here, but it seemed like Qin Xuan had barred entry into the room. The only person within, was an old man that stood tall and proud near a window, looking out towards the city.
"Is this the boy you were talking about, Little Xuanxuan?"
Turning around, Long Tian could see the old man's withered and old face. He appeared wrinkly and old, but there was a strong vitality coming from him.
Seeing the man, a single person flashed within his mind.
Qin Taixuan
A couple days ago when he was training, Long Tian had studied and memorized every important figure and family within the Alliance.
The Ji, Xue, Qin, Luo, Cheng, Ning, Huangfu, and Wang Family. There were more families, but so far, these had stood out the most to him.
They were all classified differently, some were of higher standing than others, but each had their qualities. All strong and important people within the alliance.
The Qin Family is a 'Distinguished' family, meaning that they have a Surpasser or higher within their family.
And that person is standing right in front of him.
A Demi-god.
A person from the fourth God's Sanctuary.
Now that he knew where the pressure came from, Long Tian couldn't help but give Qin Xuan a weird look.
Why was he meeting her great-grandfather?
"Yes, grandpa!" Qin Xuan smiled brightly. "This is the talented young man I have been talking about."
Qin Taixuan turned his gaze and looked at Long Tian with narrowed eyes. An invisible pressure from the sky had planted itself on Long Tian's shoulders, making him feel heavy.
The old man looked at him for a while before smiling and withdrawing the pressure.
Walking over to Qin Xuan and Long Tian, Qin Taixuan kept his hands behind his back. He scrutinized the boy his great granddaughter had brought.
"Very well… let's begin," he said.
Qin Xuan nodded.
She turned her head, looking at Long Tian and spoke to him with a serious tone.
"Tian… showcase your best! Once you do, nothing will be impossible," she muttered to him.
With her family's strength, it wasn't entirely impossible to complete.
"Alright."
Long Tian nodded.
Looking at them from the side, Qin Taixuan narrowed his eyes a little.
Ready, Long Tian stood before Qin Taixuan, wondering what will happen. Both men looked at each other and Long Tian greeted him.
"Nice to meet you, Demigod Qin," Long Tian said with a light bow of his head.
Qin Taixuan smirked, "I've heard a couple of stories from Little Xuanxuan about you. That you have some amazing potential and powerful talent.
I will judge you, and see if she was truly correct about you."
Smiling, Long Tian nodded confidently.
Narrowing his eyes, Qin Taixuan raised his hand and beckoned him over.
"Now, attack me."
Without wasting a single second, Long Tian began his assault. Punching and kicking, but as he did so, Qin Taixuan frowned. He didn't say anything however, he continued to watch as Long Tian attacked.
Qin Taixuan blocked everything, nitpicking everything about Long Tian. His breathing, stance, movement, gaze, intention…
He scrutinized every detail.
'Poor… he has no skills,' Qin Taixuan thought.
Suddenly, his eyes widened a tiny bit.
Long Tian's attacks, they had grown faster now, and they were also stronger as well.
'Strike after strike, he's improving. Solving every small flaw and improving his raw fighting skills. He does have the talent, and his potential is increasing,' excitedly thought Qin Taixuan.
"Alright, stop."
Stopping, Long Tian looked at Qin Taixuan, already knowing what was coming next. He may not have the skills, but he has the potential. He demonstrated it through his actions, improving his raw skill of his fist attacks.
The heaviness, speed, deftness, flexibility… it all improved, but not their efficiency and power.
That's what the techniques and martial arts are good for.
"Not bad," spoke Qin Taixuan. He praised Long Tian, but he made sure to make the praise light, making sure it didn't go to his head.
But Long Tian knew what he really thought.
"Seeing as how you're an unpolished gem, I will help my Little Xuanxuan polish you up."
The old man reached his hand into his pocket and took out a small chip before tossing it to Long Tian.
"Take this," he said. "This is a martial art, known as Xingyiquan."
"Xingyiquan…" muttered Long Tian, finding the name slightly familiar. It felt like it had been many decades since he had last heard of that name.
Grabbing the chip, he inserted it into his comlink and looked at the description that appeared. His golden eyes rolled and continued to read through the entire thing. He even looked at the various styles, moves, and philosophy.
His eyes were seemingly glowing as he read through every explanation, note, and memorized every move drawn.
Every picture was a page within an old and withered book.
…
"Great grandfather, what did you give him?!"
Qin Xuan looked at her grandfather in shock after hearing what he had given Long Tian.
Xingyiquan, also known as the Form-Will Fist, is a martial art consists of five foundational forms based on the five Classical Chinese elements, which are Metal (chopping), Water (drilling), Wood (crushing), Fire (exploding), and Earth (crossing). As well as additional forms based on the behaviors and hunting movements of many animals.
It had a wide range of styles based on animals, each one having its own distinct pros and cons.
But there was one thing about it that worried her.
"That's our family's ancient martial art," she muttered to him. "Only the direct descendants can learn that."
Ancient Martial Art.
Just that title alone proved the strength of Xingyiquan. It's power is greater than most hyper geno arts of the S-Class level.
It's a shame the ancient martial art is incomplete. The most important and vital part of the ancient martial art is missing. Leaving nothing but a shell of its former glory.
Somehow, Qin Taixuan believed Long Tian could bring it back to glory.
"It's fine. I'll adopt him into the family if needed," muttered the old man, a curious look in his eyes as he gazed at Long Tian. He pulled his gaze and turned to look at his great granddaughter with a mischievous smirk. "Or you can marry him and make him part of the family."
"Wha-?! Great grandfather!"
Qin Xuan blushed and turned her head with a pout.
Qin Taixuan laughed and turned back to look at Long Tian who was still reading through the Xingyiquan manuscript and committed it to memory.
…
'A great martial art…' muttered Long Tian. 'But…'
He frowned.
It was a versatile martial art, and if he trained in it, he can make it even stronger. Yet… he didn't know how to put it.
It didn't feel too compatible with his philosophy of greed and all-encompassing. However, it didn't matter to him right now. It's a strong martial art that he can use until he discovers a better martial art and eventually compose his own with various martial arts as a basis.
Rubbing his chin, Long Tian took out the chip for Xingyiquan before tossing it back to Qin Taixuan, who crushed the chip the moment it was between his fingers.
Long Tian didn't mind it as he turned and cleared his mind, beginning to practice the Xingyiquan.
He went for the first style, the Bear Style.
In an instant, within his mind, a bear formed.
It was illusory, but his mind got working and as he thought about and comprehended the bear and its behavior, he began to understand its life and its instincts. The illusory figure of brown smudge that is supposed to be a bear, grew clearer by the second.
Growing in size and more corporeal.
Like a true bear taking shape and forming.
Life flashed within the eyes of the bear, breathing and moving about naturally, with life and will.
The instant the bear was formed and comprehended to its smallest cell and shred of thought, Long Tian began moving. Practicing every move of the bear style within Xingyiquan.
His breath followed that of a bear's breathing pattern, his heart pumped blood strongly, and his muscles moved and tensed like that of a bears.
It was like Long Tian had transformed himself into an actual bear.
Long Tian felt like he had become an actual bear, his movements contained a powerful might, and his feet felt rooted to the floor.
He took a step forward, feeling it heavy as he moved his weight. He was like a lumbering bear, moving his weight and moving his arms about.
Bear Claw
Bear Arm
Vicious Bite
…
Many moves were performed with his slow but mighty movements.
…
To the side, Qin Taixuan's eyes lit up as he looked at Long Tian train. He revealed a look of awe, seeing Long Tian instantly master the bear style of Xingyiquan.
He watched as Long Tian continued to train, and seemingly bring the bear style to a higher level. He watched with great fervor.
Even Qin Xuan was stunned!
She knew Long Tian had great potential, but she never imagined that his talent was this strong.
…
Long Tian's mastery within the bear style instantly jumped levels.

And then finally arrived at the Master realm. The strength of his limbs had increased greatly and even his legs had great foundational might. Every movement and attack was efficient!
Stopping there at the Master realm, Long Tian felt his body.
Opening his eyes, Long Tian let out a long and drawn out breath. He relaxed his body and focused back on the present.
"Hmph… good lad," muttered Qin Taixuan.
He walked over to Long Tian and gave him a light pat on the back whilst nodding his head a little.
"Train well, Little Xuanxuan expects a lot from you. I, as well, hope to see you grow stronger and more powerful."
Qin Taixuan chuckled and walked away after Long Tian thanked him.
At that moment, Long Tian smiled a little as he turned his gaze to Qin Xuan who was coming at him.
He knew it, at that moment, that now he truly needs to hold up his side of the bargain. To become Qin Xuan's friend and become part of her gang within Steel Armor Shelter.
"Hm?" Qin Xuan smiled, her sharp eyes looking at Long Tian with amazement. "I never expected you to be so amazing. I'm glad you're all mine."
"All yours?"
Long Tian smirked.
"Yes…" Qin Xuan nodded before suddenly realizing what he meant. She blushed and punched him on the shoulder before walking away. "Train and relax, make sure not to tire yourself out.
I'll keep the gym closed for the next couple of days for you."
Long Tian nodded and thanked Qin Xuan before grabbing something to eat. He relaxed and sat down, a couple snacks in hand as he closed his eyes and split his attention.
Eating and looking within his mind, a wide white space.
There, a single bear continued to move about and live. As if it was truly alive.
