Galloping, Long Tian ran for almost two whole minutes.

His body was growing weaker by the second and he felt like his body was being torn apart.

This, is what deters people from staying shapeshifters for long periods of time. Depending on the grade of the beast soul and the amount of geno points, one can last for an entire 100 minutes if their geno points is at 100.

The sacred-blood beast soul requires sacred-blood geno points. One sacred-blood geno point equals one minute of shapeshifting time for sacred-blood beast souls. Exceeding the limit can result in one becoming crippled as the shape shifting can tear one's genes apart after a while.

It places great stress on the body damages the genes the more one stays shapeshifted.

With only three sacred-blood geno points, Long Tian can only last three minutes. Right now, the more he got closer to his limit, the more stress his body was growing under.

Still, he pushed himself a bit more as he entered the Gloomy Forest, a dark and shadowy place. He lowered his presence and hid in the shadows before transforming back into his human body.

"We got out," Han Sen huffed as he removed his armor.

Setting the double edged golden axe to the side, Long Tian nodded. He stretched his body and studied the axe.

This weapon that is born naturally along with a sacred-blood creature is called a scared-blood gear. Unlike beast souls, a sacred blood gear can't be taken into one's sea of soul, the place where one's beast souls reside.

It's strength is comparable to sacred blood beast soul weapons, but it cannot be taken out of God's Samctuary, making it less valuable than actual beast souls.

However, it can still be sold for a very good price of two million levo dollars.

Burying it into the ground, both Long Tian and Han Sen returned to Steel Armor Shelter separately.

"Stop! Where…"

At the gates of Steel Armor Shelter, Luo Tianyang, Son of Heaven's lackey, was standing guard. He stopped anyone who was entering the shelter, interrogating them.

After having lost the killing shot on the bloody slayer, Son of Heaven sent his goons to interrogate everyone. Search for suspects and find who took the last shot that killed the sacred blood creature.

Long Tian stopped and looked at Luo Tianyang, the man who had sucker punched him in the stomach a couple of days ago.

Narrowing his eyes, he watched as Luo Tianyang paused and looked at him with ridicule.

"Tsk… what would you have? No one would partner with you. Hanging out with ass freak and being Qin Xuan's boy toy… fuck, get out of here," Luo Tianyang said with disgust, shoving Long Tian away.

Rolling his eyes, Long Tian walked away with a light smirk.

It was a little dumb, but it was to be expected from those who don't think.

Heading to his room, Long Tian looked at the primitive meat he had from three days ago. Eating the remaining swift mantis, Long Tian began training his Xingyiquan. Attempting to raise his proficiency to the grandmaster realm.

He trained for the rest of the day and night, finishing his primitive meat and raising his geno points to 41 from the previous 25.

"How would I go about getting a sacred-blood pet?"

Long Tian stepped out of God's Sanctuary, searching online for what he was thinking about. He entered the skynet, looking for God's Sanctuary pets.

However, all that appeared were the pet type beast souls and normal pets in the Alliance.

He rubbed his chin, reading through various forms and chats. Although not relevant, he read through the pet type beast souls and the pets of the alliance. Both revealing some interesting info to him.

The pets of the Alliance were wide, after the beginning of the Era of Genes, humans took in lions and tigers as pets. Taming them and taking care of them like common household pets like dogs and cats.

The pet type beast souls were different.

When obtained in God's Sanctuary, you first obtain them in their baby/pet form. At that point, the pet type beast soul has no combat ability, stuck in their 'baby state'. One needs to feed them creature meat constantly until they transform and can now enter their adult/combat form. Most tend to give up at this point and either sell or abandon their pet type beast soul.

The amazing thing about these pet type beast souls, they can randomly evolve as well. If one attains a primitive pet type beast soul and it manages to evolve, it can become a mutant beast soul.

'Evolution…'

Long Tian paused there.

He mulled over the thought and recalled the copper-toothed beast he killed once. The one whose hairs were almost completely transformed into a copper color. It's strength was pretty high for a primitive creature, but not quite yet at the mutant level.

Then, there was the black crystal.

Han Sen had informed him that creatures that eat the crystal begin to transform. A single day can transform an ordinary creature into a primitive creature. While half a month is needed for a primitive creature to turn into a mutant creature.

But Long Tian didn't care about the black crystal and what mysterious secrets it may hold. He can make do without it.

What he really cared about was the word evolution.

If he can't get a sacred-blood creature, then can't he just 'create' one?

Rather than create, it was more apt to say raise. He wanted to capture a weak monster and help it rise to the level of a sacred-blood creature. It was possible, he had seen a primitive creature almost enter the mutant level.

All they needed was to eat other creatures or the vegetation of God's Sanctuary.

'Looks like my research on the vegetation of God's Sanctuary will now add the medicinal effects,' thought Long Tian as he exited the pet type beast soul forum.

Now that he had reached that thought, what type of creature would be fit for being his pet? And how will he tame it?

Without having seen many creatures as of yet, Long Tian had instead focused on the taming portion. He began searching through the forums and found very few forums about taming.

The taming methods were… normal. Mainly about taming dogs and cats, some about lions and Tigers. Even if they turn out to be ineffective, Long Tian still memorized them. His eyes glowed and the information was refined and improved. He created his own methods from the improved and broader knowledge he had both attained and held.

Closing the forum, Long Tian stretched his body and the teleport station in order to head to God's Sanctuary.

He rode the maglev train and once he stepped out of the train, he was stopped by Qin Xuan. She stood there in front of him, a bright look on her face. Appearing a little radiant with that smile hanging on her face.

"Xuan." Long Tian greeted her and she nodded.

"Follow me."

She said joyfully.

He followed her, straight into her office where she sat down on her chair. She spun around to look at him and finally burst out laughing.

"Hahaha!"

She laughed for a couple of seconds, tears threatening to roll out of her eyes.

"Tian, tell me. Do you know who Dollar is?" Qin Xuan asked after calming down.

Long Tian furrowed his eyebrows and shook his head.

"I don't think I've heard that name before."

"Mm." Qin Xuan nodded. "He's a new guy, either a hidden elite within Steel Armor Shelter, or from a different shelter. Yesterday, he had stolen the killing blow on a sacred-blood creature from Son of Heaven…

Kek… you should have seen his face! Hahaha!"

Qin Xuan burst out laughing again. She could still recall the scowl on Son of Heaven's face. How he had been slapped in the face in front of everyone after losing the killing blow on the sacred-blood creature. He had lost not just the killing blow, but a sacred blood beast soul and a mount type mutant beast soul.

Smiling, Long Tian could also imagine it.

That face, full of anger.

"Either way, what I meant to talk about wasn't that." Qin Xuan leaned forward on her chair and rested her elbows on the table. "I'm going to send you on a mission."

"A mission?"

Long Tian frowned and lowered his head.

"A mission from me. I need you to explore a couple of areas and see if you can find some mutant creatures."

Qin Xuan narrowed her eyes.

"When will this mission begin?"

"It will be in two days. Prepare yourself by resting well and then you will set off."

"I understand."

"Alright, let's talk about something else," Qin Xuan suddenly said, a little quiet. "How has your training with the Xingyiquan going?"

"It's going well."

"That's good to hear," she said with a smile.

"If your mission goes well, I might help you with a chance to get a Hyper Geno Art."

A hyper geno art?

Long Tian raised the corner of his lips, revealing a curious smile. With a hyper geno art, he can increase his strength by stimulating and drawing out the potential of his genes. Unlike the Xingyiquan that simply guided his physical power and made it more efficient.

Yet, unbeknownst to Long Tian, the Xingyiquan is an ancient martial art. It's power is equal, if not greater than most hyper geno arts.

But it's effects are unknown.

No one within the Qin Family had ever practiced the original Xingyiquan, much less the incomplete version Long Tian was practicing. Most of the Qin Family have practiced the hyper geno art version.

"What type of Hyper Geno Art?"

"Uh-uh." Qin Xuan shook her head. "That's a secret."

She waved her hand.

"Now go and rest. Come back here in two days."

Long Tian nodded and left.

He left the military station and entered God's Sanctuary, deciding to hunt for the day with Han Sen before resting for the entirety of the next day.

Heading out of his room, he stepped out and went to look for Han Sen. Out to the usual spot where they hang out, Long Tian found Han Sen eating some primitive creature jerky.

"Yo, Sen!"

Long Tian smiled and Han Sen turned his head.

Both nodded at each other and Han Sen stood up.

"Let's get to hunting," Han Sen said.

Standing up, Han Sen and Long Tian began walking to the mountains. They went deep, deciding to hunt the primitive iron-toothed crocodiles. Living deep within the mountains in a large pond, Han Sen and Long Tian prepared to hunt them.

"Help me gather some plants and herbs," Long Tian said as he grabbed various vegetation and stuffing them into his bag.

Han Sen nodded, grabbing whatever he thought was decent.

"Are they any good?"

Han Sen sniffed a plant and put on a curious look on his face before tossing it to Long Tian.

Grabbing the many plants he has gathered and stuffing them into the bag, Long Tian smiled.

"I'm not sure."

Revealing a wry smile, Han Sen sighed.

"They taste great when used as food. So far, I haven't studied them much as medicine," Long Tian revealed. He grabbed a plant, sniffed it, felt it, and studied it slowly while mentally writing down notes.

So far, he has discovered quite a few plants and herbs. Not so much fruits.

Only 11 plants and herbs had been studied. Depending on their use, they were great for both medicine and food. But it wouldn't make much sense to reveal that to Han Sen.

The Alliance had been studying the vegetation of God's Sanctuary for many decades now and they still haven't found anything concrete.

Yet Long Tian had already made some great progress. With the knowledge and experience he already had couple together with the knowledge and techniques he gathered from the Alliance's skynet, Long Tian was able to research the vegetation of God's Sanctuary easily.

Although he had discovered the effects of some plants, he hasn't gone ahead to create any medicine yet.
