"Lord Nisi... you truly do live up to your reputation... to have dealt with that group of scum raised by the Judgement Court so decisively!"
Captain Chatam of the Demon Hunting Squad looked at the hand crossbow that had fallen in front of Black Cat, his face showing admiration.
Although the Demon Hunting Institute and the Judgement Court did not get along, caution was still paramount when it came to taking action. Even if violence was necessary, ideally, it shouldn't result in fatalities, and certainly shouldn't leave any evidence behind.
Chatam believed that if it had been him, he would likely have only managed to subdue the judges and given them a good thrashing, leaving them half-dead before handing them over to the Judgement Court for punishment.
After all, despite their differences, both the Demon Hunting Institute and the Judgement Court were part of the Church. It was one thing to save face, but quite another to take a life.
