Chapter 188: Peak Island

After enduring two whirlpool crises, Charles was extremely cautious. Not only did he keep bats constantly observing the sky, but he also constantly had sailors check the ship's speed.

Despite Charles's vigilance, the Unicorne still encountered several perilous situations.

This sea area was filled with elusive whirlpools, and no one knew their pattern of appearance or when they might suddenly manifest.

Fortunately, they weren't far from the island now.

In his sleep, Charles's eyes moved rapidly under his closed eyelids; he was dreaming, and from the furrowed brow, it was evidently not a pleasant one.

Suddenly, a shout of alarm rang out nearby; Charles's eyes popped open instantly, and he quickly jumped down from the hammock and rushed towards Deep at the helm, "What's happening? Another whirlpool?"

"Captain, I can't see it clearly. Is that an island?"

Charles squinted, looking towards the farthest reach of the searchlight.
