Armed with so much information, Charles felt much calmer at this point. No matter how formidable the other party was, it was still an inanimate object, and it seemed to have certain restrictions.

As long as it replaced any door, a red light would appear above his head. As long as he kept this in mind, the other party couldn't easily induce him to open it.

Charles touched the door in front of him with his hand; it was Door No. 15. Finding it by numerical order was out of the question. There was no pattern to the doors here.

After pacing back and forth for a while in the dust-filled metal corridor, he suddenly thought of something and began to pry at Door No. 15 with his dagger.
