CHAPTER TWO: The Fallen Country (Part One)

Hours later

Well before I go home I need to go grocery shopping. It's kind of irresponsible of me to forget especially since I just remembered while I was in front of my house, so now I have to walk to the store after I just got home from school. It going to take up to 10 minutes to get to the store, I kind of wish I remember because from the school to the store it will take up to five minutes.

Well, there is no point whining about it, on my to the store I walk through a park it was the fastest way to the store by eight minutes ( this park is built on a hill and the nature there is very well taken care of, the grass wasn't too long, there many tree and bushes and the park is also the home of many animals ) it still sucks my feet f*king hurt and I'm tired, hungry, and-, before I finish my train of thought I saw a pond, I don't know why but I decided to walk toward the pond it probably because it been a stressful week and looking at nature calm me down.

So I sat down facing the pond, and like I said before nature calm me down, the water is a beautiful clear blue I can see all the little fishes dancing to the cricket graceful music and the birds' beautiful songs and the pond also show me a beautiful girl.

Beautiful girl indeed with her long curly hair that is as black night and her bright light brown skin and her chocolate chip freckles and you can't forget her dark chocolate color eyes. Even without makeup, she is still a pretty girl, that girl is me it pretty weird for me to complement my reflection but it reminds me of what mom tells me whenever I'm stressed mostly about no one asking me out to the school dance. She always told me how god has gifted me a lot and that only a rare few have beauty, intelligence, kindness, and most of all strength.

Mom always tells me strength is not always about how big your muscles are, but by the strength of your will. If you can stand on your two feet for what you believe no matter how many people curse at you, threaten you, or even blackmail you. A person is truly at their strongest when they stand for other because if a person fights for others and not for themselves they can be as strong as they need to be. Everyone is destined to do great things but that destiny is so far away that some walk, others don't even take the first step, but the people who want to be great, run and they don't stop. She says I have a bright future and I just need to keep running no matter how many walls or if anyone tried to slow me down. I just need to keep running and keep my daring resolve and someday I will give hope to others.

But what is the point of doing that when everyone is praying for my death. Those a*holes want nothing to do with me and blame me for what happened to this sh*ty county. After that thought, a helicopter flew by. The helicopter flies towards the city, and as it flies there I look at the city (I have a good view of the city since this park is built on top of a big hill) and what I saw was the result of the country last year of biggest attack in history.

a post-apocalyptic city there were a handful of buildings that are either not badly damaged or undamaged, but also a lot of building destroyed, houses burnt to the ground, debris everywhere, and skyscrapers that had fallen. all happened a year ago when every country easy able to attack the u.s.

after the attack, 35 percent of the population died the rest were injured or ok, but everyone was in shock it took a year for everyone to get back on their feet. and everyone decided to blame the minority but mostly me.

instead of trying to rebuild everyone throw their hate at people who had nothing to do with anything. everything about this disgusted me and even if I can help them they won't want it, because they believe I'm definitely at fault. and maybe their right. I stayed here too long. I stand up and start walking to the store with a depressed face. mom would not approve of me looking like this but she is gone so it doesn't matter.

To Be Continue.
