Li Huowang sat in the wheelchair, pushed out of the ward by his own mother, Sun Xiaoqin, his skinny hands like chicken claws shackled to the handles of the wheelchair with silver handcuffs.
To his surprise, he wasn't wrapped in a double layer of binding clothes for the outing, which made Li Huowang think they must have believed his illness had improved.
"Just coming out for a walk and some fresh air, there's no need for so many bodyguards, right?" Li Huowang said to the four burly prison guards surrounding him.
"Ah, let them follow, it's a strict order from above. Little Liu and the others have it tough too; don't make things difficult for them."
Hearing his mother's words, Li Huowang gave a faint smile. He thought it seemed that Mom was pretty familiar with the folks here, given that she called them by their nicknames.
"Son, it's raining outside today, so we won't go out for sunshine. Let's just walk around indoors."
"Oh, alright."
