In the white ward, Li Huowang waved a plastic cup filled with water in front of Wu Cheng, followed by raising the yellow-green pills in his hand to show him.
He put the pills into his mouth one by one, picked up the plastic cup, and washed down the medication with the water from the cup.
And that wasn't all; Li Huowang opened his mouth and raised and lowered his tongue to show that he hadn't concealed any pills.
As Wu Cheng finished the check and was about to leave, Li Huowang spoke up, "Are these medicines I'm taking expensive?"
"I can take more psychotropic drugs to put you and Yi Donglai at ease, but that doesn't mean you can prescribe more expensive medication and use my family as a cash cow to skim kickbacks."
"Heh," Wu Cheng laughed without saying a word.
"I'm not joking with you, I'm clear about this sort of thing. It's all too common in private hospitals."
