Chapter 58: A Heart, Bared

The Leviathan returned to the shore, with a huge monster in tow. It dropped it in front of the three kids and they fell down due to the tremors it made on the beach. "Woah! You caught that? Is that supposed to be lunch?" Cloud looked at the monster in awe.

Aerith then poked the large tuna-like monster with rows of teeth that were as large as daggers. "It doesn't look tasty." She checked it out and Tifa took out an encyclopedia of monsters. "Hey, that's a diamondback tuna! I don't think it's edible. Its scales are as hard as diamonds."

"Hmph, you lack imagination. Thank you for the catch Leviathan." Alexandra appeared with Masamune on her hand. "You're gonna cook this ugly fish Alex-nee?" Aerith wasn't thrilled. "No, he will. I will just process it. Watch and learn."

Alexandra brandished her sword and used it like one of those large sushi swords. She cut it down to size and even shaped the black scales that shone so the kids could use it as some type of vest later. "Ooh." The three watched on as the flesh of the fish was processed.

It shone under the sunlight like jewels, being filled with Mako. The meat of the tuna looked like treasure. "Now, it looks good! Ramiel-nii! Cook it quickly!" Aerith demanded as her stomach rumbled. Her enhanced metabolism acting up.

"That's right, I can't wait to see what you're gonna do with it." Ifalna drooled with her daughter as they were both big eaters after their augmentation.

"Alright, I've got just the thing as well. Alex, slice it up really good." Ramiel prepared some ingredients for carpaccio and Alexandra went to work.

The peanut gallery stared at them do their magic. Quickly preparing a feast for the people. "That looks good!" Elmyra was excited, she has never eaten such an expensive fish like tuna before. And it was a special tuna that even the biggest ships couldn't hunt.

Ifalna and Aerith dug in quickly and were inhaling the food. "What is this!? It's so meaty and savory!" the mother and daughter duo's cheeks contracted due to the umami of the tuna.

"Heh, thank Leviathan for that. Delicious, right?" Ramiel smiled and gave Leviathan a thumbs up. "More, please!" Aerith handed empty plates to him and he shook his head at their antics. "Sure, grow up nice and strong okay?"

He cooked up some steaks from slabs of meat so they could get fuller quicker. Meanwhile, Vincent was just eating his portions slowly. Still bothered by Alexandra's forbidden path to no chromo.

Everyone enjoyed their lunch and went to the twins' house so they could rest. Tired now due to the rollercoaster that is the battle to liberate Midgar from Shinra's grasp.

Ramiel cleaned up the dishes and thought it was nice to have a breather. Alexandra stared at him and was feeling a bit clingy right now. She went up to him and hugged him from behind. "Nii-sama… We finally took care of Shinra."

She nuzzled her face on his back. 'Such a wide and strong back. Carrying the responsibility of saving the planet.' She sniffed him and Ramiel thought that she was acting a bit too clingy, just like in the past.

"What's gotten into you Alex?" He continued cleaning the dishes, while she continued on imparting her scent to him. "I don't know. I just want to feel you by my side." She was getting a bit more aggressive.

He turned around and looked at her. "You okay?" He put his forehead on hers, thinking that the impossible happened and she has a cold. She was really red on the face after all.

"Nii-sama, don't. Don't tease me like that." Her upturned eyes got dazed and she breathed harder and harder. "Shit." Ramiel checked her body and her hormones were going out of control due to ovulating. So he controlled her hormones by manipulating her brain and sending signals to it with electricity.

After a few minutes, she calmed down a bit and blushed madly. 'I was rubbing myself on him like a bitch in heat.' She teared up due to the embarrassment and buried her face on his chest.

"Calm down, alright?" He patted her head softly and to her, that had a different meaning. "I see. Do you not see me that way?" She asked a difficult question and he froze. He knew that it was coming, but hearing it right from her was different. He at least thought that he had a few more years before she starts pushing.

"Alexandra… You're my twin sister." He pried her off of him gently, but firmly. Holding her shoulders so she won't run off. Alexandra frowned deeply and balled her hands to fists.

"Does it matter?" She forced her tears down so he won't think that she's trying to guilt him. "I… It does." He couldn't quite think of her like that. He loves her with all of his heart, but his common sense tells him that she was his sibling.

And his sex drive wasn't really online. He was too busy trying to micromanage their problems that he just forgot about it. "Why? I love you so much. I want to bask in your warmth. I want to feel closer to you so much that it hurts." Her voice trembled and Ramiel massaged his temples, stuck between a rock and a hard place.

"Listen to me Alexandra… We're siblings, we've been together before we were even born. I… I guess I just haven't thought of you like that." He tried explaining.

"Then isn't it okay? You're the only one for me, we've been together since forever. That explains it! We're meant to be together." She was starting to push more and Ramiel cooled her down with some cold air.

"Alexandra, do you hear yourself? You're making me uncomfortable." Ramiel furrowed his brows and she suddenly realized that she was making things hard for him. Her eyes widened as she saw that her brother was getting hurt by her advances.

She backed off and hung her head low. "Nii-sama… F-forgive me." Alex tried to reach out, but she refrained. "I… I'll reflect on my actions." Her wing appeared and she flew away, leaving black feathers.

Ramiel sat down on the couch and sighed, opening a can of beer and a cigar. "This… This isn't my forte, nothing would've prepared me for this." He hit his cigar and huffed some smoke. He then decided to follow her and hunted her down before it all spirals out of control.

Alexandra flew to the ends of the earth as shockwaves exploded behind her. Bawling her eyes out as she hit her head. "Stupid! What went into my head!?" She screamed her heart out. She then lost control of her powers and crashed on the ground.

"Why did I do that?" She stared at her reflection at a nearby puddle of water and she could remember his eyes that were helpless. "How am I any different to a brute if I force him like that?" She punched the ground and her eyes flickered red.

"Now he hates me." She balled up and put her head on her knees. A black substance escaping from her body as she started to mutate. Losing control of her Jenova cells that have found an opening once again with her heightened emotions.

*You'll lose him forever, embrace your true self and take what's rightfully yours.* Jenova started polluting her mind after having access to her memories. Her mind was spiraling into the deep end, but she felt a hand on her head as wings wrapped around her.

Alex looked up immediately and her teary eyes widened as she stared at his azure eyes. "What are you doing out here, moping around?" He gave a soft smile and her eyes went back to their brilliant cerulean blue.

"What are you doing here…" She refused to meet his eyes in her shame. "What else? I'm here to pick up my sister." He sat down with her and patted her head. "Isn't that what I'm supposed to do?"

She felt happy, but she remembered what she did earlier and frowned. "I don't hate you, you know?" He gave her some sea salt ice cream. Breaking the twin popsicle in half. "Eat that and feel better, you're giving me a hard time over here."

"S-sorr-" Before she could finish her sentence, he shoved the popsicle in her mouth. "Shut up, give me some time to think it through. You gave me a pretty a hard question, you were insensitive. You didn't think of my feelings about it."

Alexandra hung her head lower after his words. But he pinched her cheek and gave a cheeky grin. "But I'd never hate you. It's fine to be selfish a bit." She looked up to him and hugged him tightly. "I won't bring it up again. I promi-"

He shushed her and chuckled a bit. "Give me some time." Ramiel looked up at the skies and thought that he would definitely be giving her a hard time later. Almost tearing up as he imagined her lifeless eyes when he says his inevitable goodbye.

His body has been more energy than biological lately; the planet was even coaxing him to return to the lifestream. It was one of the reasons that he hasn't thought of having a family. It was enough to leave his sister behind who will have a mental breakdown. A wife and a possible child was out of the question.

Her eyes lit up and he acted like everything was gonna be alright. He couldn't muster the courage of telling her that he will turn into energy and return to the planet in a decade or two. It was the price of freedom when he wished for strength.

"You'll consider it?" She thought she was dreaming. "I will, but don't hassle me. I know you're very stubborn." He kissed her on the forehead and she thought that was enough.

"I won't, I promise I won't." She glomped him and hugged him tighter. "You won't ever leave me right?" Her mind thought it was too good to be true. "I won't, who will take care of you if I ever do?" Ramiel snickered and she puffed her cheeks.

"For that slight, I demand a kiss." She huffed at him and he sighed. She was too honest with her desires. He kissed her on the cheek and flicked her on the forehead. "That's as good as you'll get it." He smirked at her.

"That's cheating!" Alexandra protested. "Not until you're legal." Ramiel rolled his eyes and she frowned. "What!? We're the same age, we're twins." She narrowed her eyes at him and he chuckled nervously. 'That's what you think, you might not look like a loli. But I am no defiler of underage girls!'

He swore in his heart and nodded sagely. "Let's go, I want to take a bath and sleep. I haven't had 8 hours of sleep since I was born." Ramiel laughed and Alexandra agreed. "Then I want you to carry me." She put her hands up and pouted.

"Yes, yes. Geez. Who raised you? Why are you so spoiled?" He carried her and she giggled. "I don't know; they sure did a lousy job though." He pinched her cheeks and they went back to the house.

"Hmmm, now that I think about it. I haven't taught you how to play an instrument yet." Ramiel put a hand on his chin and thought of what to teach her. He had a myriad of them in his storage.

"Then how about a piano? It's really versatile." Alexandra wanted to sit with him and play duets with him. "Hmm, how about I teach you a nice and easy piece called Weight of the World?" He took out a grand piano and he played it on the beach as she learned it with him.
