Chapter XXIX: To Heavens.

After the Battle of Marchfeld, I found myself in a new role - that of an advisor to the Bohemian King, Ottakar II. My ageless gift had allowed me to witness countless battles and conflicts, and this experience proved invaluable to the King as we worked together to rebuild and strengthen our kingdom.

In the aftermath of the battle, we saw a significant shift in the balance of power within the Holy Roman Empire. The victory at Marchfeld had established Ottakar II as a major player in the region, and his success sparked fear and resentment in the hearts of his rivals.

As the King's advisor, I was tasked with helping him navigate these tricky political waters. My insights into the strategies and tactics of our enemies proved invaluable, and I was able to help the King make strategic alliances and solidify his power base.

But despite our successes, there were still those who wished to see Ottakar II fail. The Holy Roman Emperor himself was envious of our newfound power, and he began to make moves against us.

I knew that we needed to act quickly if we were to survive this latest threat. And so, I used my gift to help us stay one step ahead of our enemies. With my insight and the King's leadership, we were able to thwart the Emperor's plans and emerge stronger than ever.

Over the years, I continued to serve as Ottakar II's advisor and right-hand man. Together, we worked to build a prosperous and stable kingdom that was admired and respected by all who knew of it.

And though my ageless gift meant that I would outlive all those around me, I took comfort in the fact that I had been able to make a difference in the world. I had helped to shape the course of history, and I knew that my legacy would live on long after I was gone.

As I continued to serve as Ottakar II's advisor and right-hand man, I witnessed countless battles and political happenings that shaped the course of history. The years passed, and our kingdom grew stronger and more prosperous with each passing day.

But as Ottakar II grew older, I knew that our time together was coming to an end. I had watched him closely over the years, and I knew that he was starting to slow down. His health was failing, and it was clear that he would not be with us for much longer.

As the King's advisor, it was my duty to help ensure a smooth transition of power. I worked closely with the other members of the court to help choose a successor who was worthy of the throne.

In the end, it was decided that Ottakar II's son, Wenceslaus, would take his father's place as King of Bohemia. And so, I began working closely with Wenceslaus, helping to guide him through the challenges and pitfalls of his new role.

It was during this time that I also became acquainted with the Holy Roman Emperor, Rudolf I. The two of us had a somewhat uneasy relationship, as we both knew that our kingdoms were vying for power and influence within the region.

But despite our differences, I knew that it was important to maintain a cordial relationship with Rudolf I. And so, I used my gift to help smooth over any tensions between our two kingdoms, and to ensure that our interests were aligned whenever possible.

Over time, Wenceslaus grew into his role as King, and our kingdom continued to thrive. But it was clear that something bigger was on the horizon. Rumors were swirling that the Holy Roman Empire was on the brink of collapse, and that a new emperor would soon be crowned.

And so, I watched as the events unfolded. When Rudolf I passed away, it was his son, Albert I, who was crowned as the new Holy Roman Emperor. But as time went on, it became clear that Albert I was not a strong leader, and that his rule was marred by corruption and greed.

And so, when the time came for a new emperor to be crowned, it was I who was chosen for the role. I was enthroned as the Romanorum Imperator Augustus, or the August Emperor of the Romans, and I knew that I had a great responsibility to lead with honor and integrity.

As I looked out over the gathered crowds, I knew that I had come a long way since the days of my youth. But I also knew that my ageless gift meant that I would be able to serve my kingdom for many years to come. And so, with a sense of pride and determination, I pledged to lead my people to a brighter future, and to honor the legacy of all those who had come before me.

I realized that my father didn't wanted this for me, but it has been done.
