I have been by the side of Lazarus for many years now, and I have witnessed the rise of his power in the Holy Roman Empire. It was the year of our Lord 1290, and the land was at peace. Lazarus had finally centralized his power and was in complete control of the Empire.
But our peace was not to last. News reached us of the Siege of Acre, and Lazarus knew that he had to intervene. Acre was a strategic city in the Holy Land and had been under siege by the Muslim forces for years. The fate of the city would have far-reaching consequences for the Empire and for Christendom as a whole.
Lazarus gathered his army and set out for the Holy Land. I was among his closest advisors and had the privilege of accompanying him on his journey. We traveled for months, crossing deserts and mountains, until we finally reached Acre.
The city was under heavy siege, with Muslim forces encircling it on all sides. Lazarus wasted no time in assessing the situation and devising a plan of attack. He ordered his troops to launch a surprise attack on the enemy camps, hoping to catch them off guard.
The battle was fierce, with both sides sustaining heavy casualties. But Lazarus and his army fought with all their might, spurred on by their unwavering faith and devotion to the Empire. Lazarus showed no mercy on the enemy, even the defenseless levy was cut down to pieces during the battle. Nevertheless, the battle raged on for days, but in the end, victory was ours.
Acre had been liberated from the siege, and the Muslim forces had been defeated. Lazarus emerged from the battle as a hero, hailed by his troops and celebrated throughout the Empire. His power and authority were cemented, and his reputation as a formidable leader was now known throughout Christendom.
As we returned to the Empire, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and admiration for Lazarus. His unwavering dedication to the Empire and to his faith had led us to victory, and I knew that under his leadership, the Holy Roman Empire would continue to thrive.
In the years that followed, Lazarus would continue to lead the Empire to greatness, inspiring his people to ever-greater heights of glory and triumph. And I would always be by his side, narrating the stories of his triumphs and victories for generations to come.
On home he was known to be generous and kind to his people but in the battle he is merciless I wonder who or where his parents are.
