"What did you say?" she turned to look at me.
"I think I made myself heard loud and clear but just to make sure you get my message, I'll repeat." I said firmly walking towards where she stood.
"I said, lay a hand on her again, and I will see to it that you're banned from this hotel and all its branches," I repeated slowly and firmly eyes fixated on her.
"Aren't you the stupid maid who welcomed us?" she sneered at me.
Before I answered she spoke again.
"Well....well... a peasant fighting for the rights of her fellow peasant," she smiled bitterly as she walked and stopped right in front of me. In her high heels, she stood staring intimidatingly at me but I was far from being intimidated.
I surveyed her before I chose the next words to throw at her.
"The little peasant is tongue-tied now,"
I looked her right in the eye and found myself laughing sarcastically.
"For someone so beautiful, you sure do lack some manners. No wonder its hard for someone to first detect the beauty under that bitter rude face, " I sneered at her as I made my way to my poor maid.
Her name tag was written Keisha. She must have been rushing to find me when she ran into this devil of a person.
"Keisha are you okay?" I asked lifting her bowed head up.
She nodded. Her eyes were puffy from the crying and her cheek was super red from the slap she had received. This bitch definitely did get on my nerves.
"And you for someone so poor, you sure do have the guts to speak to me like that. I could get you both fired with just a snap of my finger." She threatened.
"Don't get you hopes up Barbie." I said bluntly.
"But I want to see the both of you suffer, before I get the two of you fired!" She said as she took off her denim jacket that had orange juice spluttered all over it. Must have been why she was so mad.
She threw it at Keisha's face and instructed her to dump that one and get her a new jacket. The same colour, size and brand.
"Ma'am the least I can do is wash it for you," Keisha spoke innocently and fearfully not sure what would be done to her next.
"I said I want a new one," She said as she walked towards keisha who leant into the wall behind her.
"And I repeat myself just so we are on the same page, I WANT A NEW ONE!!!" she muttered every word slowly leaning over to Keisha's face and she literally spat on her.
" She said she will wash it for you! Take it or leave it!" I growled at her as I stood in between her and Keisha. My anger and hatred for this stupid barbie bitch was now at its peak.
"You are so full of yourself peasant girl," She said looking at me as if I was some disgusting piece of rubbish and this time she spat on me.
I swear to God if I had a knife near me I would slit this bitches throat and gladly watch blood flow out of her skinny body.
I calmly wiped off her saliva from my face, took her jacket, wiped my hand with it, wiped keisha's face with it then threw it at her face.
"Piece of advice, please brush your teeth or chew some mint next time before you go around spitting on people," I said taking Keisha's hand and leading her out of there.
We left her shouting her lungs out that we would regret what we had done especially me.
Oh! she was the one who was going to regret ever crossing my path.
Soon as I found Mary, I explained to her what had happened and she couldn't help but sigh in pity and relief for poor Keisha.
"I am so glad I raised you well, You did the right thing standing up for one of your own." Mary complimented me as she gave me a hug.
Keisha kept on thanking me endlessly even after I assured her that it was nothing. When she was finally all calmed down, I asked her where my key card was.She informed me that some guy called Owen, took it.
"Why did you give him my key card?" I asked her in shock and confusion.
"He said that since his room was next to yours and he knew you, he would get the key card to you." Keisha explained.
"He was also pretty convincing and handsome too," She added smiling goofily.
"So is the key card wiith him?"
"Yes Ma'am Luna,"
"Also there is something you should know Ma'am," Karen spoke up before I left.
"Both of your rooms and that Sir Owen dude, are connected,"
As if this day couldn't get any worse.
OWEN'S POV.
Mikayla and I were busy bonding and she was telling me about one of the craziest trip she ever took when we heard the sound of a small bell ring. Our attention diverted to those who stood in front of us. The whole room was suddenly silent and everyone's focus apart from mine, shifted. My whole focus was on the beauty seated next me. I slowly kept my hand on her shoulder and softly pulled her towards me. She smiled at me clearly blushing from our contact. This made me extremely happy.
And then, I heard her voice. The hotel maid from earlier. I turned to look towards the source of the voice. She stood right infront of me looking very serious and authoritative as she addressed us. I finally got to know her name. Luna Richards. Interesting name.
When she was done talking and asked if there were any questions, Mikayla lifted her hand and asked her question. That was when I realized that as Luna spoke the whole time, I completely forgot about her. Before she could answer, our eyes met and I found myself smiling at her. She completely ignored me, answered the question, completed her speech and exited the room.
As our darling parents exited the room, they started calling out our names and said our room numbers. They then handed each person the key cards to their rooms. Mikayla's name was called out before mine. We bid each goodbye and I told her that we would hang out later.
"Room 203, Owen Royal." I stepped forward when my name was called out by some lady at the front.
"Room 204, Luna Richards." The lady called out.
Now this is interesting. How the hell was a hotel maid participating in such a programme. I thought only rich kids were allowed. Not giving it much thought, I picked my key card from the lady. I was somehow pleased that she was part of the programme.
"Sir before you leave, Your room and Madam Luna's room are kinda joined. But there is a door separating the two rooms. I hope you don't mind. If you wish to change rooms we can do that" She said before I left.
"Actually I do know Madam Luna. So I don't mind. And since she is not around, You can hand me over her key and I will make sure she gets it." I assured her. She seemed hesitant at first but she finally handed me over the key card.
