CHAPTER TWELVE.

This time he listened and let go of her. Luna gasped for breath but it felt like oxygen was betraying her and she was getting none of it. She fell on the floor as she was too weak to remain standing. She touched her head. She gasped in shock as her hand made contact with the large sum amount of blood flowing from where she was hurt. She brought out her hand from behind and saw a red liquid floating on her hand.

Karen was at this point opening the door pulling Owen outside. When Owen let go of Luna and she immediately fell on the floor, he saw a red patch on the white wall and he felt all the air come out of his lungs. He then saw the blood floating on Luna's hand and he couldn't help but cover his mouth in shock. What had he done!!!

"GET OUT!!" Luna shouted at the already shocked figures.

"I SAID GET OUT!!!!" She shouted even more louder pointing towards the door. Owen was already going down on his knees to help her when she crept away from him. She threw him a death glare before calmly in anger telling him for a third time to get out.

"If you have a death wish touch me one more time and you are dead," She spat angrily.

And Owen did believe she was capable of killing him. Fear ran through his spine and his body trembled a little in fear.

Karen finally managed to pull him out. Luna mastering all the courage she had left, she slithered towards the door and managed to lock it before she passed down on the floor.

"Karen what did I do?" Owen was panicking as he knocked on Luna's door but received no answer. No movement too could be heard from the room. This made him panic ten times more. Him panicking like that, would lead to no good. He tried opening the door but it was locked.

"Hey, hey, hey calm down, You did nothing wrong Owen. You just defended me nothing more. So calm down!" Karen tried to calm him down before he lost it and his panic attacks were back.

"That's it, just breathe Owen, breathe,"

*THE NEXT DAY*

After breakfast, all participants including those who had reported earlier that morning were asked to assemble in conference hall 2 for a brief meeting. Owen had not seen Luna the whole of last night. After the doctor and Mary paid her a visit minutes after the incident, the room was locked the whole time. Nobody got in or out. He had tried opening the door that connected both of their rooms but it never opened. It was like a chair was stuck underneath the door knob to prevent it from opening. This morning him and Karen were called into Luca's office where they found Luna seated silently scrolling through her phone. To Karen she seemed okay and it somehow pleased her. She was afraid that Owen had caused some serious damage to the poor girl!

On the other hand, Owen's heart was heartbroken when he saw the bandage wrapped around Luna's head. Knowing that he had caused that, made him hate himself. When they sat down, Luca got to hear both sides of the stories. He asked Karen and Owen to apologize to Luna and sent them both off with a warning. When Owen apologized, Luna showed no emotion and did not spare him single glance. He had really messed up. But at least he tried to make things right. If it was her choice to be so hard-headed then her problem. He had tried.

" Good morning to you all. For those who do not know me I am Luca, I run 'DESTINY CONNECTOR' the programme you are all about to engage in. First things first, the hotel owner wishes to welcome you to this place though the owner is pretty disappointed in the unfortunate events that took place yesterday. We all know that no crime goes unpunished. I sadly wish to inform you that the management has decided to withdraw all kinds of help from you guys. This means the staff will not cater to anyone. You are on your own." Luca started off on a bad note.

Murmurs could be heard all over the place. Stares were sent in Karen and Owen's way. "Don't look at us! look at her!! It's her fault!" Karen angrily said pointing to where Luna sat.

Luna ignored all the death, anger and hatred stares sent her way. She actually did not seem bothered. She took the glass of water she was drinking and raised it at Karen smiling evilly. Karen wondered why Luna seemed not to be bothered by the really hurtful insults being thrown her way.

Luca saw and heard all that. He couldn't help but shake his head in disappointment. Teenagers! They never listen do they?

" So enough of that. Onto what most of you if not all of you have been waiting for. So this is what will happen. For today, you will all meet some consultants who will ask you questions on matters pertaining, your likes and dislikes, what you find attractive in a man or woman and many other things and most of all they will ask why you joined the programme. When they are done with the questions, your fingerprints will be taken and they will be processed in our database. Analysis and matching will take place and by five in the evening, you will all come back here where you will all be informed whom you've been matched with. Some other daily tests will be carried out to see if you still match with your first match. The match will be valid and solid if by the end of this whole programme you are matched to one person more than ten consecutive times towards the end of the programme.

Those who will be matched, each couple will have their own luxurious suites to encourage more bonding. Those who will not have been found compatible with anyone, they will also be given their own suites but sadly, they will have to sleep alone. Like I said, no staff will be helping you out, so you have to do your own laundry, cook your own food, clean the suite by yourself and make the beds yourself. The suites you are all going to be given, have their own dining rooms, sitting rooms, kitchenettes, bedrooms washrooms, walk in closets for both love birds and their own balcony. The only things that the hotel will provide for you, are groceries and cooking products which you will have to get from the market you will be informed. You won't pay since you already paid for food. You just go pick up what you want and come back. Gentlemen take this opportunity to find wife-material ladies and good housewives. A lady who can clean, cook for you, respect you, love you and take care of the house for you not just eating your money! Ladies do the vice versa too. I know the journey might already seem difficult for most of you, trust me, it gets harder! But this is the only way some of you will learn. Be patient and trust the process. Schedules for each day and their activity will be handed out to you. The schedules will be accompanied by rules that are to be followed to the latter. Consequences are there if rules are broken. Consider this whole programme as a game and games are meant to be fun! That is all. Remember, your today's match, might not be your match tomorrow. May the best players win." Luca finished off with a smile.

"Miss Luna, follow me. And may the game begin!" Luca signalled the beginning of the programme by cutting a huge bow tied infront of the consultants offices. The excited teenagers scurried off one by one into the offices ready to find their match.
