CHAPTER FIFTEEN.

Grace had expected the floodgates of drama to be opened but she got none. Everything was nicely done and no complains had been made so far. By the time dinner time had arrived, food was already prepared and everyone was surprisingly satisfied with how Luna was servicing them. All except Karen's Trio.

How did Luna do all this by herself she wondered. She had confirmed that all workers had been sent home for their leaves all except those who were working on the other parts of the hotel where business was as usual.

Who the hell was this girl. And as she served the last trays of dessert to the guests, she smiled wickedly at Grace as she passed her. She was definitely up to something. Grace thought to herself. She had no clue or idea what was on Luna's mind and it frustrated the hell out of her.

Karen had tried to stop everyone from eating her food saying that it was probably poisoned. She even forced Luna to take a bite of all the dishes she had prepared before they all ate.

" If you don't want to eat the food, your problem." Luna scoffed.

Alpha who was starving had enough of Karen's drama and started galloping his food down.

"Alpha what are you doing, she probably poisoned the food," Matilda in turn exclaimed taking Alpha's fork and knife from him.

"But it's so delicious," Alpha confirmed.

"You! do you expect us to believe that you made this food out of the willingness of your heart?" Karen asked.

"Did you poison the food as revenge to get rid of us?" Mikayla asked. Luna laughed sarcarsticaly to that statement.

"If I were to get rid of you, trust me I would never take the easy road. Poisoning you is too easy and not at all a satisfying way to watch you suffer. I always take the high road!" Luna said calmly.

"And yes I cooked this food from the willingness of my heart. All those not afraid of me poisoning them, dig in. If you need anything else i'll be in the kitchen."

And she left as soon as everyone started eating all apart from the trio and their found lovers. People were really enjoying the food and compliments were being thrown her way. This irritated Karen and her girls all the more. They did not even dare touch the food and also forced their men not to touch the food. Owen was a bit disappointed by this. How would he take his medicine on an empty stomach? He tried explaining his situation but none of them cared to reason out with him. Most especially Mikayla. She shushed him whenever he tried mentioning Luna's name or anything that related to her. Mikayla was jealous ever since she witnessed the moment this two shared. There was just something about the way the two looked at each other. It frustratingly annoyed the hell out of her. For a minute there she was afraid that Owen would not be matched with her. The moment she saw their names together on the screen, a wave of relief swept over her. Even if it was a 20% it was still something. What made her even more happy was when Luna got no match. She surely deserved nobody but herself according to Mikayla.

"I will try and fix you something as soon as we are back at our suite!" Mikayla convinced a really hungry Owen.

Soon enough people were done and were being served a blue berry ice-cream cake for dessert. Luna was heading to Karen's table to place their dessert tray on their table, when she met the shocked face of Grace and she couldn't help but smile at her. She seemed to be taken aback by her gesture and this made Luna smile all the more.

Luna was about to set the tray on the table, when Matilda tripped her over with her foot. Luna saw it coming and she luckily managed to find balance before she could trip down and fall.

"You missed," Luna glared at Matilda.

"Let's get out of here guys, the air has suddenly become stuffy!" Matilda ushered the whole table to leave and they all obliged. Owen looked at Luna apologetically before being dragged away by an upset Mikayla.

"What is up with you and that girl?" Mikayla asked angrily.

"Nothing!" Owen answered. What was up with her? he wondered.

"Don't tell me nothing! I have seen the way you two look at each other," she grunted.

"And so? What about it?"

"Let me remind you that people like her like manipulating and taking advantage of people like you to get what they want. Money!"

"Luna is not like that," Owen tried to defend her.

"So now you are on her side?" Karen questioned this time.

"And who the hell invited you into this conversation Karen?" Owen raised his voice at her.

"I'm sorry..." she muttered and quietly minded her own business.

"I don't want to argue with you, so please excuse me," Owen said as he turned to leave.

"And where are you going now?" Mikayla asked anger and jealousy still evident in her voice.

"To get some air." he said bluntly and left. Mikayla wanted to go after him but Matilda stopped her.

"Let him cool off." she urged her. "Now go make him something to eat before he comes back. Apologize and simply show him that you care. I am sure he will appreciate that." Matilda advised her.

"But I don't know how to cook," she complained.

"Well you have a smartphone, download some tutorials, it shouldn't be that hard," Matilda offered a solution.

"Where are you going at this time of the night?" Owen asked as he was surprised to see Luna also heading towards the gate.

"I should be the one asking you that?" Luna said cutting her journey short by standing.

"Well its a long story." Owen said as he also stood by.

"Want to talk about it?"

"Uuhm not really, it's just that Mikayla and I just had a fight. So yeah, I needed fresh air. " Owen shrugged clearly showing he did not want to talk about it and Luna respected that and she nodded in understanding as she muttered a quick sorry.

"What's with all the bags?" Owen asked pointing at the paper bags that Luna held.

"It's the left-over food," Luna answered.

"Where are you taking the food?" Owen asked trying to understand.

"Well I am not a fan of food being wasted, so we usually pack all the good left overs and distribute it to the homeless people who stay around this area," She answered back. Owen was taken aback by this and his heart couldn't help it. He kept on warming up to Luna. She never seized to amaze him.

"Can I help?" he asked as he took some of the paper bags filled with food tins from Luna's hands.

"Yeah sure, Come follow me." Luna guided him outside the gate and Owen followed.
