  He stopped short, finally laying eyes on her. She was standing on a balcony, the hills and valleys they’d just been running through spread out behind her, light steady rain falling as she held up a violin. Her back was to him and she was concentrating fiercely as she played her heart out. Aaron walked around her, took her in from every angle he could. Adele had never looked more beautiful than she did in that moment. He always liked looking at her, but this was different. The music, the girl, the place, everything set him on fire in ways few things did, few people had. Watching her lay herself out before him like that stirred something inside him that he didn’t know could ever be reached, something he’d put away a long time ago for someone else.
