CHAPTER 17

  I bounced back.

I woke up one day and decided that enough was enough. I have to start living again. I knew the process of getting my happiness back was going to take a while but I was determined to put in that effort. I had wasted two whole months sulking over a man who didn't deserve any bit of it.

Loyalty from a man wasn't possible and I was a fool to believe I had somehow managed to find it. I didn't have a plan yet, but looking good again was a step in the right direction at least.

It was a sunny day, so I decided to do my makeup and go out for a drink to clear my head and come up with an actual plan on how I was going to get back on my feet for real.

My destination was a lowkey, quiet hotel in the best Western plus garden. I didn't want to run into anybody from the past. I was not yet ready to explain what had happened in my relationship or why I went to MIA for a while.
