CHAPTER 25

The first day of work went smoothly, just like I imagined it would. The head chef was a man. He signed a 5-year contract and had been working for 3 years. He put me through and showed me around our workplace.

The kitchen was the most beautiful I had ever seen. All the utensils were silver, the working atmosphere was excellent, and we had a Tv room and mini desk to relax when we were not working.

My contract allowed me a one-month break, and I figured that it would be a good time for a girls' trip. I had never been to another country in my entire life and taking a trip with my girls sounded like a good idea.

I got home after a wonderful first day at work and shared the great news with Angel. She beheld happily.

"Wow! Finally, you have blown it!" she said.

"I swear, things are finally falling into place. Thank you for being a supportive friend Angel, I love you," I said.

  "I love you more, girl!"

"Maybe all our dreams will come true," I said, hugging her.
