Worry is a sharp feeling inside of me, “What do you mean?”
My eyes flicker to where Sarah is handing out some medical supplies to the injured soldiers, “She seems fine.”
“It’s nothing bad,” Aliya says thoughtfully. “I mean I don’t sense anything harmful in it. It’s just strange. it’s like a barrier almost.”
She narrows her eyes and when I glance at her, I can see the strain on her face, “It’s like I can’t see anything. It’s nothing that can prevent physical harm. It’s more like she’s shielding Sarah against anyone who can pry within her.”
“Pry within her?”
