CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY ONE
It’s the way she grabs me, tightening her hold on me, that my wolf calms down.
My heart is racing as the panic subsides, “W-what?”
Dazed, I let her hold me, not knowing what’s happening, a little dazed.
And then I smell the blood. I look down to see the spots of blood on her shirt.
“Why are you bleeding?” I ask, horrified.
She pulls away from me slightly, her eyes shaking, “It’s your blood.”
“Mine?” I echo, confused and then I feel the wetness around my mouth and nose.
“What were you thinking of doing?!” She gives me a sharp shake, still straddling me. There is real terror in her voice. “What were you thinking of doing?!”
“I - I don’t know what you mean?”
“I fel - You were bleeding from your nose and mouth and your heartbeat had slowed down!” She bunches up my shirt in her fists, glaring at me and yet there are tears in her eyes. “Tell me the truth! What were you planning on doing?!”
