CHAPTER THIRTY FIVE
I stare at the pack elders in stunned silence.
Whatever I had been expecting, this had not been it. I had not thought that they would be bold enough to pull this off. I had clearly underestimated how desperate they are to tie me to Hunter.
I can hear the outcry behind me but I don’t register it, my eyes flicking over each face sitting before me. Hunter looks pleased, his eyes ruthless, and Valerie has a strange look in her own eyes. As a second mate, I would be subservient to her.

“I don’t accept this.”
“Excuse me?” Some of the pack elders frown.
I know my father wants to interfere but I just look at him from the corner of my eyes and give a discreet shake of the head.
