CHAPTER SEVENTY FIVE
As the days go by, Kayla is coming more and more out of her shell, but she’s attached herself to me and Lucas. The security around the den and the territory has been upgraded even more. I'm not going to force my people to hide like cowards.
So, life is returning to a more normal routine for the pack.
However, just because they have begun to recover, doesn't mean that I can go at the same pace as them.
“What do we have on the wolves we sent out?” Lucas asks me, a week later, during a meeting.
I shake my head, "None of them have returned. I've tried summoning them but nothing. I don't think this is a task we can leave up to my wolves anymore. We’re going to need to send out a delegation.”
Ted bristles, “Do you think it's a good idea? We still have eyes on our territory but outside of it, anybody who goes is fair game.”
“Which is why I’ll go,” I say, loudly over the agreement of Ted’s words. “I have my wolves with me and-“
