CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY EIGHT

“Fera?!”

She looks injured, her arm in a human looking cast, her face battered, dried blood still staining her clothes which makes me think that she hasn’t been here recently.

I hobble towards and her gait is also uneven as she covers the remaining distance.

She wraps her uninjured arm around my shoulders and I burst into tears, “I’m so glad you’re alive!”

I can’t move my forearms because the bone has regrown in a twisted way but I don’t care.

“They said they had – They said that they cut you into –”

“They lied,” Fera says, darkly. “The Rhoder Tribe got me out of there in time.”

“Damien-”

“I don’t know,” her voice is filled with a quiet pain. “I wasn’t in the room. I was trying to get to you but they came at me and – I tried going back for you and Damien but –”
