Killian and the others had just entered range for even the weaker members of their group to watch as a black beam of light, radiating pure destruction, ignored the power of heaven and strike against Ace's Divine Spark.
Unlike what Lozarn had hoped for, Ace's divine spark wasn't destroyed, but there was a very visible crack on it.
Ace, still wrapped in the embrace of the natural laws, suddenly shuddered and coughed a mouthful of blood, and his life force began to wane.
The pain-filled, unwilling, and angry roars of Kannal and the others shook the entire Planar Battlefield as they watched their friend, captain, and brother's life fade before their eyes. But it was Killian who took it the hardest.
His mind was suddenly filled with memories of them meeting for the first time, them becoming sworn brothers, and all the other happy memories that stretched from childhood till now.
Killian began to cry tears of blood as his heart broke, but his aura suddenly skyrocketed as his comprehension of all three laws deepened.
After becoming the emissary of Shinji, the Intermediate Sovereign of Destruction, his comprehension of the Edict of Destruction had long since reached the peak of the Full God level. He had been actively chosen to avoid training in the Edict of Destruction to avoid becoming a High God just yet, as it would cause an imbalance in his three-way fused divine power, effectively weakening him.
And as his comprehension of *True Earth* had reached 99% some time ago, he had decided, instead of focusing on his Concept-based weapon arts or his inter-law fused mysteries, he was best off focusing on the laws of fire.
Although back on the Yulan Plane, when the three Sovereigns created the three respective Divine Planes for all of them to witness, Killian had managed to fuse four mysteries of the laws of fire, because he understood that was his worst affinity, he hadn't spent any time focusing on said law since then.
But now, with both his other two laws on the precipice of a breakthrough, it was his Divine Fire Clone that was on the verge of holding him back; as such, for the last few hundred years in the Planar Battlefield, all three of his clones and his true body were jointly focused on comprehending the mysteries of fire.
Although his affinity to the laws of fire was merely "good," with all four of his body jointly focusing on that one task, his progress was astonishing.
He hadn't managed to start fusing another mystery, but he had comprehended five mysteries to completion and the sixth to 99%.
But witnessing the first person to show him love and the person he respected most in the world die in front of him, Killian entered a state of sudden enlightenment.
It was right then that everyone, be they on his side or the enemy, stared at Killian in disbelief as the natural laws descended once more, this time with even more ferocity than they had for Ace.
His three clones suddenly appeared from within him, and they all simultaneously achieved a breakthrough at the High God level. Still, it was his divine clone of Earth that caused the biggest disturbance as it became a paragon.
All those watching, including the Sovereigns still in chaotic space, aside from the Yulan Plane, watched with wide eyes, wondering when it became so easy to become a paragon.
Killian, though, didn't care much for his breakthrough. If it meant saving Ace, he would happily hand it back, but since he couldn't, he would do the next best thing.
His body moved like a blur, warping space as it did, suddenly appearing in front of Muyan, swinging his axe with all of his might.
His power was terrifying. Between his newly acquired portion of Willpower, his three-way fused High God divine power, and his High God level Earth-based Axe Art, Killian's raw power had surpassed Ace's from before, easily reaching the level of someone with three units of will. Unfortunately, his opponent this time was a monster with four and perfectly fused two-way divine power.
He was instantly overpowered, but before Muyan could finish the job, Killian's already monstrous power suddenly spiked once more as the rest of the Golden Sun Pirates utilised Julius' new and improved [Constellation Battle Tactics].
Although he was now able to somewhat hold his own, Killian was still being suppressed – Muyan was simply too powerful, and to make matters worse, despite having become a High God himself, maintaining the [Constellation Battle Tactics] appeared to be too strenuous for Julius.
He underestimated the strain, especially when one of those in the group was a paragon. Still, he didn't waver; to avenge Ace, he would keep it up or die trying.
At the same time, Leona, still teary-eyed, headed straight for Ace's body. Via their bond, she could sense that although he was on death's door, he was still hanging on, and that was all she needed. As long as he was alive, she would drag his body to safety, even if it meant giving up her own life.
Unfortunately, although Muyan was preoccupied, Lozarn wasn't. Seeing Ace's body about to be snatched from them, he immediately took action.
Thankfully, Garott was still there. He also took action, stopping Lozarn in his tracks, allowing Leona to flee with Ace's body.
It looked like Leona was going to escape when Balmer suddenly arose from the dead. His condition was far from ideal; still, as a paragon, he was still an existence that virtually no deity below the Paragon level could stand up to.
He and the other three-way soul mutate, Fotu, took action at the same time, only to be stopped by Hemmers, Linley, and the rest of their group.
With no one else to stop her, Leona hurriedly fled. Unfortunately, she had no idea that, aside from the three paragons behind her, Phueus actually had another paragon-level emissary, Shaual – a Paragon of Darkness.
Shaual was the most conniving of all Phueus' emissaries. She never takes action unless absolutely necessary, choosing to remain hidden in the shadows until the last possible second. And she may only be an ordinary paragon, but she was still far stronger than the likes of Leona.
Leona placed Ace's body behind her and turned to face her opponent, ready to give her life to protect her partner.
Shaual had no interest in wasting time, nor did she believe in holding back. She moved to attack with intent to kill, going all out from the very beginning. Unfortunately, she had acted too soon.
Just as Leona fearlessly faced what would inevitably be certain death, Amira appeared in front of her, calmly blocking Shaual's attack.
Still, what caught Shaual's attention was the terrifying aura Amira radiated. Somehow, Amira had become able to utilise the power of Will as a Full God.
Looking up above her, hovering to the rear of her opponent, was a giant phantom. It was that giant phantom that caused Shaual to smile helplessly as she realised she had really kicked an iron plate this time.
The phantom was the mirror image of Amira in her angel form, but sat on her head, below her radiant halo, was a tiara. It was the unmistakable symbol of a direct descendant of the Gol Clan, with [Conqueror's Haki].
Amira didn't say anything to her opponent as she calmly waved her sword, cutting her opponent cleanly in two.
All she said to Leona was to take care of Ace before her body disappeared, only to reappear above the main battlefield.
The moment she appeared, the battle came to a sudden halt as everyone's eyes fell on her.
Her eyes, though, were trained solely on Lozarn, the dragon that had caused Ace's seemingly fatal injuries in the first place.
She was tempted to kill him right there and then, but in the end, she restrained herself and turned to face Muyan.
Muyan opened his mouth, but before he could speak, Amira coldly told him to take his people and scram.
Muyan opened his mouth once again as though he wanted to argue, but before he could, his eyes constricted as he saw something that, by all intents and purposes, should be impossible.
Amira, before his very own eyes, as nothing but a Full God, conjured genuine Sovereign Power.
She didn't speak again; she had already told him to leave. In her eyes, since he wanted to stay behind so badly, he could stay forever.
She gently waved her sword, creating a golden-silver crescent-shaped sword light which cleaved the space of the Planar Battlefield in two as though it were but a flimsy sheet of paper, threatening to slice through anything and everything that stood in its path, including Muyan.
In response, Muyan didn't hesitate to use a drop of Darkness-type Sovereign's Might and use his ultimate attack to resist.
Still, it wasn't enough. All he could do was shift Amira's sword wave just off target, causing it to slice the left side of his body clean off!
He was still alive thanks to his vitality as a deity, but he was far from okay. Amira's attack contained genuine Sovereign Power, making it hard for him to completely recover.
Even though his body had recovered to the point it was now technically in one piece, he still had Sovereign Power tearing away at him from the inside, making it all but impossible to continue fighting.
Amira merely began counting down from three. At first, Muyan and the others didn't understand, but as soon as she said "two," they may not have understood why she was willing to let them go, but none of them dared to stick around and find out.
