Chapter One Hundred and Twenty Seven

CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY SEVEN

Sterling and I climb up the gold chains, which are twisting and spinning, stitching the connection between the earthly and the celestial realms.

Finally, we emerge into the realm of the Moon Rabbit, where the air never moves and the endless spaces stretches out in every dimension.

Beside me, Sterling shivers. “Never really planned to be back in this weird place,” he says.

“Tell me about it.” I look around, getting my bearings. Fortunately, the moon is huge and bright, staking its claim amongst the other celestial bodies. I point to it, off in the distance. “The Moon Rabbit’s lair is that way.”

We trudge in its direction, clambering over the rifts and valleys of folded space. At one point, a cloud of comets whizzes by, forcing me and Sterling to fall to our stomachs on the ground, pressing our faces flat against the current bottom of space.
