Chapter One Hundred and Ninety One

CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND NINETY ONE

Because Orsina and Zach need to keep a low profile for the time being, we do most of our driving at night.

Maybe it’s the pregnant “mama bear” instincts rising up in Orsina, or maybe bear shifter mercenaries work differently than wolf shifter ones, but Orsina is convinced that if she’s seen anywhere out in public, she’ll immediately be targeted by Malcolm and Weston’s network of spies and hired killers.

Jasper grumbles a bit about the unnecessary nature of these precautions, but he drops the issue when he sees how serious Zach is about protecting his mate and doing whatever it takes to help Orsina feel safe.

“All that anxiety, it’s not good for the baby,” he tells his cousin. Jasper just shrugs and tells him that, in that case, Zach will be buying coffee for the whole crew.
