Chapter Eighty Six

CHAPTER EIGHTY SIX

My instincts were correct. The Flagstaff pack members, led by Malcolm and Miranda, come at us on the left, while Brandon leads his fighters in an assault on our right flank. By focusing our efforts on taking down the Rogers Lake crew, we manage to quickly bring their numbers down.

At one point, Brandon runs directly at me. I see the vicious, blood thirsty expression on his face, and the gleeful satisfaction he seems at have at the idea of finally killing me.

I remember how he looked at me when he had me caged on the boat, like I was just some prize he could keep locked up. I remember how wretched I felt when I thought he was going to force me to be his mate, and the heartbreak he put me and Nash through by making me write that letter.
